OBAMA SLAMS CHRISTIANS: THOSE TAKING THEIR FAITH MOST SERIOUSLY OFTEN MOST SUSPICIOUS OF OTHERS

THE PRO-LIFE NEWS SOURCE

Sarah Zagorski, Life News — On September 14th, President Barack Obama interviewed Pulitzer Prize-winning author Marilynne Robinson in Iowa. During the interview, Obama asked her about her Christian faith and indicated that he believes those who take their faith seriously are the most suspicious of others.

He asked, “How do you reconcile the idea of faith being really important to you and you caring a lot about taking faith seriously with the fact that, at least in our democracy and our civic discourse, it seems as if folks who take religion the most seriously sometimes are also those who are suspicious of those not like them?”

The Hill reports that Robinson answered by saying that those “turning in on themselves — and God knows, arming themselves” against an “imagined other,” are not “taking their Christianity seriously.”

Obama’s comment disparaging Americans Christians is no surprise given how he has gone after pro-life Christians repeatedly over the years despite his claim to believe in Christianity.

In 2012, Obama claimed that he and his wife are both committed followers of Jesus Christ.

He said, “We are both practicing Christians and obviously this position may be considered to put us at odds with the views of others, but, you know, when we think about our faith, the thing at root that we think about is, not only Christ sacrificing himself on our behalf, but it’s also the Golden Rule, you know, treat others the way you would want to be treated.”

To say that Obama’s faith claim is a controversial topic among Christians in the United States would be a huge understatement. This is because some of his positions are in direct violation of Christianity’s most sacred values, such as his views on abortion. According to The Washington Times, earlier this year, Obama said that he is “deeply committed to protecting this core constitutional right” of abortion.

However, it’s not just that Obama supports abortion that makes some skeptical of his Christian beliefs; it’s that he supports late-term abortion, infanticide, and Planned Parenthood, the organization that made national headlines earlier this year for chopping up babies and selling their body parts to the highest bidder. Oh, and Obama has no problem forcing Christians to pay for abortions in violation of their conscience through his HHS abortion mandate.

Obama’s abortion views are so extreme that he has been called the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history. In 2008, Obama infamously said he didn’t know when human life began —saying it was “above my pay grade.” Then, in 2013, Obama asked God to bless Planned Parenthood during his speech at one of their events. He said, “As long as we’ve got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we’ve got to fight to protect a woman’s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you’ve also got a president who’s going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way,” said Obama. “Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you.”

Additionally, in January, the Obama administration issued a veto threat indicating that the president would veto a bill to ban late-term abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy; and on the 42nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade Obama reiterated his support of abortion on demand by saying that abortion “gives our daughters rights and freedoms.”
