Host: Jim Schneider
The Crosstalk Radio Talk Show is heard each weekday on over 90 radio outlets across America and worldwide on the Internet. Crosstalk covers the issues that affect our world, our nation, our families and the Christian church from a perspective centered in the Word of God. Whether we discuss the economy, the political scene, the continuing moral collapse of our nation, legislation that affects the family, or the state of evangelicalism, our authority is found in the unchanging standard of the Holy Scriptures. Veteran co-hosts Dr. Vic Eliason and Jim Schneider have worked as a team for over 20 years to bring solid information to the body of Christ.

Guest: » Chelsea Schilling, Editor and Staff Writer for WND

Air Date: March 7, 2013

Show Description:
Chelsea Schilling is a commentary editor and staff writer for WND. She is also an editor of Jerome Corsi’s “Red Alert” and is a U.S. Army veteran. She has also worked as a news producer at USA Radio Network and as a news reporter for the Sacramento Union

The Transportation Security Administration was formed after 9/11. It used to come under the authority of the Department of Transportation but now operates under the banner of Homeland Security. Their screeners or “officers” who pat you down in airports have no arresting authority or federal law enforcement training. In fact, Chelsea told listeners that they don’t even have to have a G.E.D. or high school diploma if they have x-ray experience. In short, they have authority similar to that of a mall cop.

Unfortunately it gets worse. Although they are responsible for looking at your check bags, Chelsea reported that some TSA screeners have stolen money, iPads and even pain killers. Other reports include TSA agents who have been guilty of assault, assisting drug traffickers and even smuggling marijuana.

The TSA claims it’s not under the authority of Congress. So what’s the answer? Chelsea believes the answer is to privatize the system and give TSA officers law enforcement training so that the flying public can be treated like customers rather than suspects.
