The U.S. and Saudi Arabia have signed an open skies agreement that will permit unrestricted air service by the airlines of both countries. This means planes from Saudi Arabia can fly from anywhere in their country to any point in the U.S. and vice-versa. Interestingly, 15 of the 19 men who hijacked and crashed U.S. planes on 9/11 were from Saudi Arabia.
