Not according to Barack Obama. With new policies coming out of Obama’s Department of Housing and Urban Development, the “diversity” of each neighborhood in the country will be tracked. And if the area does not meet the “standards” established by his cronies, cities and businesses could face consequences.

Sounds a little like what the Jewish nation experienced in 1930′s Germany. Does anyone remember the resettlement camps? I guess the younger generation learning from the politically correct books in school are not aware of what Hitler did to track the movement of the Jews throughout Germany so he could round them up when he needed to put them in Concentration Camps.

People live where they live because they are comfortable with the community and want to be a part of it. That is the basis of what is guaranteed under the Constitution. It does not say that each community will have the same breakdown of people, regardless of what the government thinks that breakdown should be. Equal protection is given to each denomination in this country, but no one group is guaranteed they could live where they want to or where the government says they should. I thought we learned that lesson with the internment camps of World War II.

As reported by CNS News, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) “has published a new fair-housing regulation intended to give people access to better neighborhoods than the ones they currently live in.” What does that mean. Why hasn’t anyone asked them to explain what they mean by that? And where did they get the authority to tell me where to live.

The goal of this administration is to help communities UNDERSTAND “fair housing barriers” and “establish clear goals” for “improving integrated living patterns and overcoming historic patterns of segregation.”

Who said that living where I want to live because it is best for me and my family is a pattern of segregation? Who is the government to tell me who to live with? If people want to live in public housing, then they are welcome to do so. If they choose to depend on the government to help them, then they should live where the government tells them to. Once you brush off the tangles of government sustenance, then you can find a place to live that will be good for you and your family.

First of all, the fact that we even throw around the phrase “fair housing” is crazy. Fair housing? The government tried to socially engineer neighborhoods in the 70′s with the Great Society, and it failed miserably. You as an individual live where you feel safe and comfortable and can afford. No one should be telling you where you can and can’t live. That is determined by the geographic and economic conditions of the individual. And yet, the Obama administration is determined to socially engineer this country, even down to determining the racial balance of a neighborhood.

Under this president, everything you do or say is becoming racist, except if you are black. However, if you are not black and are Christian, then you’d better watch out where you move. Zip codes and the choice of where you want to live are racist, according to the Obama Administration. You are racist for wanting to live in a suburban community with good schools. They would rather you lived in an area they control and subject your children to substandard housing and schools because they think it is the best thing for you.

Now that the Obama administration has so much computer power invested in the NSA, in what may be the most ambitious social-engineering project undertaken by the federal government, the administration is mapping every neighborhood in America by race. The stated purpose is to use the data to compel local officials to loosen zoning laws and build more public housing, thereby offering more poor inner-city minorities better opportunities for housing and education.

But the unstated purpose is forced racial integration. The suburbs are just too white for Obama and his misguided liberal race-oriented social engineers. They think that whites “geospatially discriminate” against minorities; never mind that more and more middle-class blacks are flocking to them on their own. Where in the world did they come up with that phrase? The phrase “geospatially discriminate” is an oxymoron. The elitists who use it are dumb as bricks.

This government project is led by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Last week, it proposed new rules requiring counties and other entities receiving federal grant dollars to “affirmatively further fair housing” in the suburbs for minorities. Grantees who fail to comply will be denied federal funding. What do you mean “comply”? Comply with what? If the community is completed, are we supposed to tear down one set of housing to build another?

What the HUD policy will do is force neighborhoods into what it believes is “racial balance” by providing government funds to move people from the inner cities to the suburbs. They use the carrot and the stick. Of course, they don’t know; and in their stupidity, they couldn’t conceive that most communities don’t want government “assistance” to stand on their own. A community would much rather welcome a Target or a Wal Mart than a government housing project.
