Twila Brase is the president of Citizens Council for Health Freedom whose mission is to support patient and doctor freedom, medical innovation and the right of citizens to a confidential patient/doctor relationship. She is a certified public health nurse and has testified on a state level and meets with members of Congress pertaining to the health care issue.October 1st is when open enrollment in the government exchanges begins for the Affordable Care Act otherwise known as Obamacare. According to Twila, it's not clear whether the federal government or the states that are creating their own exchanges will be ready.
The federal employees responsible for administering Obamacare don't want the program for themselves. What do they know that we don't? The unions are afraid that upon acceptance of Obamacare they will lose their "Cadillac plans" and it won't pay to be part of the union anymore.
Another interesting fact surrounds a California county that won the right to operate a health care call center that would help with the implementation of Obamacare. About half of these jobs will be part-time therefore the government isn't required to provide the employees with health insurance.
There's a move to pull funding for the individual mandate. This is part of a continuing resolution to keep the government funded and operating past September 30th. How this plays out is critical to the roll-out of Obamacare.
