ABANDONING SHIP: WAPO TURNS ON OBAMA; GIVES OBAMACARE LIE ‘FOUR PINOCCHIOS’

There is no room for reinterpretation; there is no misunderstanding. The president lied and, worse yet, he knew Americans would be kicked off their insurance all along.

Greg Campbell, TPNN Political Analyst — Americans of every political bent are waking up to deal with the sobering realities of Obamacare. While once the left hailed the healthcare overhaul as a great leap forward towards the “human right” of being given healthcare, even liberals are growing concerned over the rampant infeasibility of this healthcare trainwreck and have pondered the implications of having a government administer our healthcare when they cannot even administer a website to sell the healthcare insurance.

But what has the right and left united in this time of grave concern is the willingness of this administration to so-readily lie to Americans.

We were told over and over again how if we liked our doctor, we could keep him. If we liked our insurance, we could keep it. “Nobody,” the president so boldly claimed, “can take it away from you.”

As we enter the first stages of this nightmare, it seems obvious that the president lied over and over again. Obama has overstayed his welcome, it appears, as even the left is beginning to turn on this executive as he attempts to mealy-mouth his way out of this debacle.

The Washington Post, the venerable newspaper that has served as a bastion of left-leaning perspectives for decades, has taken Obama to task for his outright lies and has given his claim of keeping one’s insurance four Pinocchios.

In short, even The Washington Post isn’t buying what the president is shoveling.

Glenn Kessler reviewed Obama’s repeated claims and found that they were outright lies. Kessler noted,
“The president’s statements were sweeping and unequivocal — and made both before and after the bill became law. The White House now cites technicalities to avoid admitting that he went too far in his repeated pledge, which, after all, is one of the most famous statements of his presidency.

The president’s promise apparently came with a very large caveat: ‘If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan — if we deem it to be adequate.’”
The Obama Administration has been working overtime to try and spin this betrayal as business-as-usual. The healthcare insurance exchange mandates certain baseline requirements and so people with insurance plans that do not meet these requirements are receiving cancellation notices.

Let me put this another way: Millions of Americans are having their arms twisted to buy the product that Obama wants them to buy. In the heyday of the mafia, storeowners, too, were extorted to buy from certain vendors or otherwise pay for “protection.” These mafia hoods were extortionists- and so is the Obama Administration.

President Obama made promises not once, not twice, but over and over again. In 2009, he boldly claimed,
“That means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.”
There is no room for reinterpretation; there is no misunderstanding. The president lied and, worse yet, he knew Americans would be kicked off their insurance all along.

The Washington Post’s award of Four Pinocchios is the latest example of the liberal media, at last, growing weary of the president who makes Nixon look truthful by comparison. As Obama lies through his second term, Obamacare, his hallmark achievement that bears his name, is sinking this presidency. » Full Article

This organization was created to help give the power of government back to the people. We believe, like many of you, that our government has grown out-of-control in a death spiral of unsustainable and barely imaginable trillion-dollar deficits and a national debt rivaling Gross Domestic Product. This government has ignored the Constitution that defines us; invaded the liberty from which our nation was born; and daily drains away the individuality and entrepreneurial spirit of Americans in order to advance a radical, socialist policy built on the back of American taxpayers. We, like many of you, decided to stand up and do something about it. » Learn More
