Two Palestinians Wielding Axes And Iron Rods
Murder 61-Year-Old Retired IDF Colonel

Israel Today Staff — Another in what has become a series of serious terrorist incidents shook Israel Thursday night, when an Israeli man was brutally murdered in front of his wife in the northern Jordan Valley.

The horrified spouse managed to escape the scene and alert Israeli security forces that her husband, an retired IDF colonel, was being attacked by two Palestinians wielding axes and iron rods.

The 61-year-old victim had gone outside after hearing suspicious noises late Thursday night. With his wife watching from the window, the man was immediately set upon by the two assailants, who managed to escape the scene after perpetrating their heinous crime.

This tragic case is only the latest in a string of attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers in recent week. In September, IDF soldier Kobi Gal was fatally shot by a Palestinian sniper in Hebron. Only days earlier, Tomer Hazan was abducted and murdered by a Palestinian co-worker. Last Saturday, a Palestinian terrorist tried to break into the house of the Glick family in Psagot, just north of Jerusalem, but ended up fleeing the scene after shooting nine-year-old Noam Glick after her screams had alerted the neighborhood to the present danger. » Full Article
