Obamacare: Built On A Mountain Of Deceitful Lies
Matthew Burke, TPNN News Editor — Obamacare, built on a mountain of deceitful lies repeated by power hungry politicians eager to take control of your health care and 1/6 of the economy, is about to inflict more predicted pain on what was the most envious health care system in the world — massive doctor shortages.Now doctors around the nation are beginning to “see what’s in the bill” and aren’t liking what they’re beginning to see. It turns out that another hidden little gem is that doctors are about to get their pay hammered, and are told to simply churn out patients more quickly to make up the difference. Yes, America’s doctors are learning, along with their patients, that elections really do have consequences.
The long-term consequences, whether intended or not, is that students will decide that having tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars in student loan debt isn’t worth it and will make alternative career choices (get a good job as an overpaid paper-pushing bureaucrat, perhaps?), and doctors a decade away from retirement will decide to retire early, realizing that playing along with this government tyranny isn’t worth their time.
Doctor shortages have been predicted for quite some time. Last year, for example, the Doctor Patient Medical Association Foundation revealed that a whopping 83% of doctors surveyed are thinking of quitting because of Obamacare. One has to wonder what good it will do to have health insurance if you can’t find a doctor willing to treat patients under Obamacare.
Now, news service McClatchy reports (emphasis added):
WASHINGTON — Many doctors are disturbed that they’ll be paid less – often a lot less – to care for the millions of patients who are projected to buy coverage through the health law’s new insurance marketplaces.
Some have complained to medical associations – including those in Texas, California, Georgia, Connecticut and New York – saying the discounted rates could lead to a two-tiered system in which fewer doctors participate, perhaps making it harder for consumers to get the care they need.
“As it is, there is a shortage of primary care physicians in the country, and they don’t have enough time to see all the patients who are calling them,” said Peter Cunningham, a senior fellow at the nonpartisan Center for Studying Health System Change in Washington.
If providers are paid less, he said, “Are (enrollees) going to have difficulty getting physicians to accept them as patients?”
Insurance officials acknowledge that they have reduced rates in some plans, saying they are under enormous pressure to keep premiums affordable. They say physicians will make up for the lower pay by seeing more patients, since the plans tend to have smaller networks of doctors.
But many primary care doctors say they barely have time to take care of the patients they have now.
Note that nowhere in the article is the name “Obamacare” used. Apparently the press has received their marching orders about Obama’s wishes to “rebrand” the debacle. » Full Article
