Greg Campbell, TPNN Political Analyst — The left has an unrelenting grip on the concept of racism. While the left constantly lobs accusations of racism and bigotry at conservatives who dare to address race in America, liberals often spout intolerance and bigotry but are afforded a leniency by mainstream media outlets and fellow leftists that is strictly denied to conservatives.On Tuesday, President Obama spoke about the need for immigration reform in California. Regarding illegal immigrants as “undocumented workers,” President Obama claimed that he could spot immigrants by “looking at faces.”
He said,
“As I was getting a tour of DreamWorks, I didn’t ask, but just looking at faces, I could tell there were some folks who are here not because they were born here, but because they want to be here and they bring extraordinary talents to the United States. And that’s part of what makes America special. And that’s part of what, by the way, makes California special, because it’s always been this magnet of dreamers and strivers. And people coming from every direction saying to themselves, you know, if I work hard there I can have my piece of the American Dream.”
Ironically, while Obama espoused a need to incorporate other ethnicities into American society, he singled-out minorities by announcing that he could tell who were immigrants based on looking at their faces.
Of course, it’s not the most outlandishly inappropriate comment this divisive president has made, but it’s easy to imagine the media narrative that would occur if the inverse occurred- if a conservative claimed that he could spot an immigrant by looking at their face.
During Barack Obama’s presidential run in 2008, Senator Harry Reid rejoiced at having a “light-skinned” black candidate and marveled that Senator Obama spoke with “no negro dialect unless he wanted to have one.”
As recently as 2010, the Democrats harbored a former KKK leader; Senator Robert Byrd served as a Senator for West Virginia from 1959 to 2010, but before that, was a leader of his KKK group who refused to join the military because he might have had to serve alongside “race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.” Of course, upon his death, liberal media outlets gave the Senator a pass. While Byrd was quite contrite, it’s impossible that any former KKK member belonging to the GOP could ever be afforded such political forgiveness.
Vice President Biden has often spouted racist thoughts, but they seem shrugged off by fellow liberals, as if saying, “Oh, that’s just Joe…”
Biden once claimed, “You cannot go to a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian Accent.” He also praised Obama by saying, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” And, of course, Biden also told an audience with many black attendees that Mitt Romney would “unchain” Wall Street and in doing so, was “gonna put y’all back in chains.”
If America is going to make strides towards dealing with the issue of race, an open dialogue needs to occur. That cannot happen when any reference to race or any issue that vaguely deals with race is regarded as bigoted by the left while liberals continue to speak brashly and ignorantly on racial issues. » Full Article
