DESPERATE: NY TIMES BLAMES ‘TEA PARTY NIHILISTS’ FOR REID’S FILIBUSTER DESTRUCTION

Reid Eradicated The Filibuster Option
For Judicial Nominees And Appointments

Greg Campbell, TPNN Political Analyst — Never let the truth get in the way of a good story- that is, seemingly, the motto of every good propagandist who continues to carry water for the Democrats who have wrecked their own chances for re-election as surely as they have wrecked our national economy.

In the wake of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s employing of the nuclear option, the New York Times, a longstanding vanguard of the left, has insisted that the dirty trick was a result of “Tea Party nihilists.”

Yes, the Tea Party- the go-to scapegoat to explain legislative dysfunction in a Senate controlled by the Democrats.

The Democrats are in serious trouble as Americans awaken from the hype to discover that the Democrats have not only created one catastrophe after another, but have done so while employing one ethically-questionable trick after another.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid employed the so-called “nuclear option” earlier this month, eradicating the filibuster option for judicial nominees and appointments. Doing so not only sent a clear message to Republicans, that Democrats will no longer even pretend to work with them, but also sent a message to the American public, that Democrats are not above employing tactics that run contrary to the spirit of the deliberative body of government.

Above all else, the nuclear option allows for a court-packing scheme that makes FDR look mild-mannered and humble by comparison. With the filibuster gone, the Obama Administration can now pack the federal courts with judicial activist judges and affirm his own radical agenda.

The New York Times had the gall to recently blame the Tea Party for creating the Senate’s decision. Blaming the victim, a tried-and-true tactic of bullies and cowards, has long been employed against the Tea Party with liberals insisting that their tyranny is a result of Tea Partiers not bending to their will.

The NY Times wrote, (emphasis added)
Last week, in a fit of fury after they lost the ability to filibuster President Obama’s nominees, several Congressional Republicans threatened to retaliate by slowing things down on Capitol Hill.

It’s hard to see how Republicans could slow things down more than they already have for the last several years. Yes, they can prevent committees from meeting and add days of wasted time to every nomination and bill. Just after the filibuster vote, in fact, Senate Republicans refused a routine request for unanimous consent to approve several of the president’s uncontested nominees.

But the larger business of governing is already being cast aside. As Politico recently reported, the current Congress has only enacted 49 laws, the fewest since 1947. That’s a mark of pride to Tea Party nihilists, but, for the rest of the country, which expects action on fundamentals like jobs and immigration, it’s a mark of shame.
Masquerading as thoughtful analysis, the NY Times piece illustrates the desperation of the left. As Obamacare comes off the rails, the economy remains in shambles, America’s foreign policy is a joke and the Obama Administration has a pile of scandals for which they must answer. When all is said and done, the leftist mainstream media can try to redirect public outrage, but the inescapable fact is that Democrats have wrought havoc upon our nation ins numerous ways and the country that will be voting next year is starting to take notice of this fact. » Full Article

About TheTeaParty.net
TheTeaParty.net is a division of Stop This Insanity Inc. and is a national non-profit 501 (c)(4) organization created in 2009 for the education and advancement of the constitutional conservative values of the Tea Party movement. This organization was created to help give the power of government back to the people. We believe, like many of you, that our government has grown out-of-control in a death spiral of unsustainable and barely imaginable trillion-dollar deficits and a national debt rivaling Gross Domestic Product. This government has ignored the Constitution that defines us; invaded the liberty from which our nation was born; and daily drains away the individuality and entrepreneurial spirit of Americans in order to advance a radical, socialist policy built on the back of American taxpayers. We, like many of you, decided to stand up and do something about it. » Learn More

» New Republic: Obama Lashes Out, Calls Dems who are Worried About Obamacare ‘Bed-Wetters’
There are two kinds of Democrats currently in Washington: those who are interested in self-preservation and those who are too-heavily invested in Obamacare’s future that their only hope for political survival is to put the pedal to the metal and ride the Obamacare train to its fiery end while still hoping that some miracle will arrive to save the imperiled healthcare overhaul.

» Discrepancies Appear in Tax Documents from Americans for Tax Reform, Rove’s Crossroads
Within the GOP is a toxic amalgamation of dysfunction and infighting that threatens to tear the Party in two as moderate Republicans fight bitterly with the Tea Party and other conservative elements. While many in the GOP agree that Obamacare must go and that tax reform is desperately needed, establishment GOP players have routinely targeted Tea Party efforts to destroy or otherwise block Obamacare and the associated tax that comes with it.

» Obama Wants You…Out of His Way
Our Founders were brilliant. When they designed our system of government, it was done in such a way so that the voice of the people would be truly heard. Now, we have a government who works at every turn to silence your voice; that views themselves as our rulers and we their servants.
