CHILLING UNEARTHED VIDEO: PLANNED PARENTHOOD FOUNDER MARGARET SANGER SAYS, ‘NO MORE BABIES’

Sanger, A Committed Eugenicist, Proposed Women
In The Developing World
Cease All Reproduction For The Coming Decade

Ben Johnson, Life Site News — A chilling video has surfaced of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger telling a British interviewer her goal is to see vast swaths of the world produce “no more babies.”

The 1947 one-minute newsreel features an interview in London's Dorchester Hotel conducted by John Parsons. Sanger is referred to as “Margaret Slee,” reflecting her second marriage to James Slee.

Parsons mistakenly said that Sanger had suggested European women have no children for the next 10 years. In fact Sanger, a committed eugenicist, had proposed women in the developing world cease all reproduction for the coming decade.

Nonetheless, she calmly defended her population control policy while sipping tea with Parsons.

When asked whether it may not be “impractical” to ask such a thing of women who want to become mothers but would be infertile in 10 years, Sanger responded cooly, “I should think instead of being impractical, it is really very practical and intelligent and humane.”

The interviewer added that in the postwar UK, run by Clement Atlee, “having babies is the only thing left which is both unrationed and untaxed.” Sanger replied that since the subject was “so personal,” it would be “entirely up to the parents to decide.”

She concluded, “But for my view, I believe that there should be no more babies.”

If she were being honest about the voluntary aspect of her population control measure, it represents a break from her previous statements. In March 1934, she published an article in America Weekly suggesting that it had “become necessary to establish a system of birth permits” in the United States. Every American family would be required to seek a “birth permit” from the local government for each birth.

In 1957, an aging Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood and the international birth control movement, agreed to an interview with CBS News’ Mike Wallace.
