We Need To Restore To The Oval Office
Todd Cefaratti, Editor of TPNN — Those that know me know that I’m not exactly bashful about my praise for Dr. Ben Carson. I am of the firm belief that America needs a real leader- not a career politician. And while there are some tremendous leaders who are, in fact politicians, I believe America can benefit from a president who unflinchingly works for what needs to be done in America and a leader without preexisting political baggage can be a real benefit.Of course, this cannot just be anyone; we once elected a “Washington outsider,” a peanut farmer from Georgia who mucked things up tremendously and continues to try and insert himself into foreign politics whenever possible.
No- we need a real leader, an intelligent leader who understands what’s at stake. In short: I sincerely hope Dr. Carson runs in 2016.
According to a new report, it seems that Dr. Carson may be coming closer to a decision.
In his book, “One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future,” Carson admits, “Over the years, there have been many attempts to get me to throw my hat in the political arena.”
“I have been offered support from around the country and tremendous financial resources if I decide to run for national office. But I have not felt the call to run,” he wrote, stating that “If I felt called by God to officially enter the world of politics, I would certainly not hesitate to do so.”
In an interview with the Weekly Standard, Carson claims he’s “starting to feel it. Because every place I go, it’s unbelievable.”
Dr. Carson had the political spotlight shined on him after he gave a phenomenal speech at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast where, just feet away from President Obama, Carson claimed the country was heading in the wrong direction.
Carson admitted that running for president would be “daunting.”
“I know how vehemently the left will come after you, try to destroy you, try to destroy your family,” Carson stated. “But at the same time I recognize that people like Nathan Hale – he said, ‘My only regret is I have but one life to give to my country’ … And if everybody runs for the hills because they’re afraid that somebody is going to attack them or their family, then [the left] will have won.”
Dr. Carson is not the only choice for president, but he certainly exemplifies the leadership qualities we need to restore to the Oval Office. After years of cowardice and corrupt dealings from the Obama Administration, a man of conviction and intelligence would serve as our nation’s best chance to come back from the precipice- culturally, economically and politically.
