HERE’S THE ONLY THING OBAMA NEEDS TO SAY TO VETERANS

Steadfast and Loyal

I Have Failed Them

Allen West, — I want to apologize to the Veterans of the United States. Men and women who have been willing to give the last full measure of devotion — something I was not willing to do — that enables all of us to live under a blanket of liberty, freedom, and enjoy the blessings thereof.

I have failed them. This administration has failed them. I take full responsibility for knowing about this travesty and not doing enough, actually not doing anything.

I have accepted the resignation of General Shinseki. A replacement will be announced later. My focus is on rectifying this situation immediately and it has my personal attention. We will initiate an independent investigation and I have directed the Attorney General to do so. No more rhetoric. I failed and ask that you accept my humble apology.

Thank you.

Today as I returned from Detroit, I had a moment that I truly felt was God sent, as I don’t believe in coincidences. It happened on one of my flights, and it was two hours I will never forget. I was seated beside someone who personally knew one of the men who was there on the roof in Benghazi...

» Message To Detractors Regarding My Benghazi Commentary
It seems my commentary posted here regarding Benghazi is drawing quite the interest — and ire of some. The same denigrating response occurred after I penned this commentary two days after the Ft. Hood terrorist attack in November 2009. I was called an Islamophobe, crazy, and a host of other names — typical of liberal progressives...

Many people say “Happy Memorial Day” and perhaps they’re the ones who see this as the day swimming pools open, the time for good retail sales bargains, and just a day off from work to BBQ and perhaps go to a baseball game. But the proper greeting and salutation for this day is “Honor Memorial Day” for it is a day of honor, distinct and memorable..
