With Host Vic Eliason
On Today’s Show:
Vic shared just a small portion of the many stories from this week that should be of concern to Americans, and to Christians in particular. Among them:
• U.S. soldiers have been ordered to adhere to Islamic Sharia during the month of Ramadan in Bahrain and other Islamic countries, and are being required to sit through lessons on Islam in a 'Ramadan Tent', especially the regulations against eating, drinking, or smoking during the daytime throughout the month of Ramada--regulations Islam says apply to everyone, not just Muslims.
• It appears that the IRS is not the only agency losing emails, as the Environmental Protection Agency now admits having lost some as well, causing the House Oversight Committee to consider including the EPA and other agencies in the investigation of the IRA's loss of Lois Lerner's emails being requested by Congress.
• Meanwhile, copies of some of Lois Lerner's missing emails have been found on the computers of those she corresponded with, including some that show she suggested that the IRS conduct an audit of Senator Chuck Grassley, who was among those looking into IRS conduct.
• The IRS will pay $50,000 to a national organization supporting traditional marriage because of the 'leak' of information about their donors to a gay-rights group--the funds to be paid, of course, with taxpayer-provided dollars.
• A Supreme Court decision on Thursday invalidating three appointments made by Barack Obama when the Senate was still in session, has placed up to 430 other cases in doubt.
• The Boy Scouts have now allowed scouts to march in a gay-pride parade this Sunday
• A 'mainline' denomination, the Presbyterian Church, USA, which has now voted to approve same-sex marriages, to divest investments in countries doing business with Israel, and also not to support protecting babies born alive during an abortion.
• The United Church of Christ has agreed to be an official sponsor of the 2014 'Gay Games' in Cleveland in August, donating at least $50,000 in funds and donated time to support the event.
• An abortionist who relocated to Milwaukee after his clinic was closed in Rockford, Illinois, has been unable to obtain hospital privileges within 30 miles, causing a court to rule he must re-apply and be accepted before he can begin his practice at an abortion clinic in Milwaukee.
• In a story that came in during the program, a writer at Townhall.com reports that two Republican Representative have introduced a bill offering a $1 million cash prize to any person that can provide Lois Lerner's emails, and $500,000 to anyone who can provide information to prosecutors that would be admissible in a court of law--the prizes to be paid from the IRS budget.
