Mosque of the Prophet Yunus (Jonah) Destroyed by Islamic State (ISIS)
Justin Koski, Western Journalism — After all of the Iraqi Christians were forced to flee the embattled city of Mosul in the last week, this video shows Islamic militants destroying the tomb of Jonah. According to officials and residents of Mosul, this holy site, also known as the Mosque of the Prophet Yunus (Jonah), was destroyed yesterday.

Residents were prevented from entering the mosque–where the biblical prophet from the Book of Jonah, known for being swelled by a great fish, is believed to be buried.

After banning worshipers, militants reportedly spent an hour wiring and placing explosives throughout the tomb. The video shows the detonation as the building instantly becomes nothing more than a cloud of dust and rubble.

Since their takeover of northern Iraq in June and their establishment of a new caliphate in the region, ISIS has launched an attack on Israel and has taken over the homes of Christians. Just this past week, they forced all remaining Christians out of the Islamic state, threatening them with death if they didn’t convert, pay a tax, or flee.

A recent poll by CNN and ORC International, however, reveals that support for impeachment is widespread and crosses all political barriers. A full third of all respondents stated that they want to see Obama removed from office. While proponents of such an extreme measure are obviously more popular among Republicans, a group in which 57 percent supports impeachment, a significant percentage of independents and Democrats also favor the proposition. Among those with no party affiliation, 35 percent want Obama removed, while 13 percent responded similarly among those within his own party...

Ignores ‘Double War Crime’ Of Hamas Attacking,
Hiding Behind Civilians

UNITED NATIONS – As Hamas continues to target Israeli civilians with rockets and use Palestinian civilians as human shields, United Nations members calling for an investigation of Israel’s defensive operation to shut down the terrorist infrastructure in Gaza.
The Geneva-based United Nations Human Rights Council adopted a resolution Wednesday calling for an international investigation into alleged violations committed by Israel during its ongoing military defense operation.
The meeting was convened at the request of Egypt, Pakistan and the state of Palestine, which has been granted observer status at the U.N.
Member states during the meeting “condemned in the strongest possible terms” Israel’s military operation and passed a resolution demanding an “immediate cessation of Israeli military assaults” on what they referred to as the “Occupied Palestinian Territory.”
Of 47 countries, 17 abstained and 29 voted in favor of the resolution. Only the United States voted against it.
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu was outraged by the vote, calling it a “travesty.” In a public Facebook post, he argued the U.N. had it exactly backwards.
“Rather than investigate Hamas, which is committing a double war crime by firing rockets at Israeli civilians while hiding behind Palestinian civilians, the UNHRC calls for an investigation of Israel, which has gone to unprecedented lengths to keep Palestinian civilians out of harm’s way.”
Navi Pillay, U.N. high commissioner for human rights, claimed “there seems to be a strong possibility that international law has been violated, in a manner that could account to war crimes,” referring to air strikes and the shelling and bombing of hospitals that have occurred during Israel’s military operation.
Pillay also condemned Hamas for “indiscriminate attacks on Israel” but did not delve deeper into Israel’s claims that Hamas has been purposefully and strategically hiding rockets in densely populated areas.
Israel’s envoy to the UNHCR, Eviatar Manor, responded to the accusations.
“There can be no moral symmetry between a terrorist aggressor and a democracy defending itself,” Manor said.
After the resolution was passed, he questioned how naming and shaming Israel would achieve anything and wondered when the U.N. would realize Hamas was the one perpetrating war crimes.
The UNHRC vote followed a week of intense debating at the United Nations Security Council at the U.N.’s New York City headquarters, which failed to produce a resolution while showcasing decidedly pro-Palestinian sentiments.
Throughout the course of UNSC debates, a majority of states condemned Israel’s actions and demanded an immediate cease-fire and de-escalation of the conflict. During an emergency session Tuesday morning, Palestinian Ambassador Riyad Mansour went so far as to pull out graphic pictures of the dead and wounded, stating, “We are not just numbers, we are human beings.”
Israel’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Ron Prosor, in return, emphatically reminded U.N. representatives that the Palestinian government, Hamas, has been designated by several countries as a terrorist group.
If Israel were to lay down its arms, there would be no more Israel, he said.
“The equation is simple” he stated during the Tuesday emergency meeting. “When it is quiet in Israel, it will be quiet in Gaza. … Israel is fighting in Gaza, not against the people of Gaza.”
However, the international community’s reprobation of Israel’s defensive strategy is only likely to worsen. Thursday morning, a United Nations-run school in Gaza sheltering civilians came under attack, killing dozens, including children and U.N. staff.
Israel contends it sought to evacuate the building but Hamas refused, because the terrorist organization wanted to maintain the civilians as human shields.
UNRWA spokesman Chris Guiness tweeted that over the course of the day, UNRWA tried to coordinate a cease-fire window for civilians to leave the school but the request was not granted.
The Israel Defense Forces denied the claim, according to by Israel National News.
“This morning we sought a cease-fire in the area and a humanitarian evacuation of civilians, but Hamas refused – because they wanted to keep civilians in the area to protect their fighters who were firing on the IDF.”
After the incident, the U.N. secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, at a press conference with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, said both sides must stop fighting and start talking.
“I am telling to the parties – both the Israelis and Hamas and Palestinians – that it is morally wrong to kill your own people. The whole world has been watching, is watching, with great concern. You must stop fighting, and enter into dialogue. Whatever grievances you may have, this is wrong. Why are you continuing to kill people? There are many other ways to resolve this issue without killing each other.”

This week's winner: Rush Limbaugh for his riff on the Honduran refugee pilot program being considered by the “Coyote-in-Chief."In a segment Friday titled "Barack Obama: Coyote-In-Chief," Limbaugh unloaded on the president for a new $47 million pilot program being considered by the administration that would “cut out the middle man” by sending an immigration team to Honduras to grant refugee status to Honduran children and then fly them straight here, rather than force them to make the perilous trek across Mexico to the U.S. The New York Times cites Obama administration officials who said they think the president can enact the program via executive action, thus bypassing Congress. Critics of the proposal argue that it would of course only escalate the crisis and would essentially redefine refugee legally.
Here are Limbaugh’s opening remarks on the plan:
I should have seen it. It was right in front of my face and you know why it didn't occur to me? It's because it's so outrageous. President Barack Obama, it is said, is considering the idea of granting refugee status to the children of Honduras. Now, that I predicted. That's not what I missed. We all knew that was coming. I mean, ever since we began hearing the term "migrant" and "refugees," as opposed to illegal alien, illegal immigrant. We knew that was coming.Limbaugh then predicts that the Obama administration will make sure to manufacture all the evidence they need to deem the children refugees and get as many of them into the country as possible:
What I didn't foresee, Obama is going to send US officials to Honduras and okay them as refugees and then use taxpayer dollars to fly them to America so they don't have to catch the death train and go through Mexico. We're gonna cut out the middleman. We're gonna cut out the coyotes. We're just gonna bring them here as refugees. We are going to facilitate. We're actually going to provide the transportation mechanism for what are illegal immigrants to cross the border. It's going to be done with an executive order. There's no way any of it can be stopped.
It's being done under the guise, ladies and gentlemen, of reducing the flow of migrants, but instead it's going to have -- and this is what Obama knows -- the exact opposite effect. It's going to be a magnet. And it's just a pilot program. It's just Honduras. If it goes well in Honduras, then they're gonna go do it in El Salvador. And if it goes well in El Salvador, then they're gonna go to Guatemala. And it's not gonna go badly. How could it?
You go to Honduras, you send some Regime officials down there, you basically stamp a purple thing on each kid's hand and put 'em on the airplane and send 'em here. In order to this, they will produce research, eyewitness accounts, whatever it takes, they'll produce research that, quote, unquote, proves beyond a shadow all of a doubt that every child is escaping poverty, violence, war-torn countryside, abusive fathers, whatever it takes to qualify them as refugees.As Limbaugh goes on to point out, many on the left, particularly in the media, are cheering the proposal, while conservatives see yet more evidence of the dangers of a president willing to abuse the powers of his office to further his own ideological agenda.
