TRANSFORMATIONAL FESTIVALS

Talking The Walk

IT SOUNDS too bizarre to possibly be true, but our future is being shaped, at least in part, by a bunch of people who spend a week each year dancing half-naked around a giant burning statue in the desert.

Carl Teichrib, editor of the excellent journal Forcing Change, shares some of his research on “transformational festivals” — pagan gatherings with names like Burning Man and TomorrowWorld. The organizers and fans of these events believe they are changing the very nature of society and ushering in a new age of Oneism. They may be right.

Join us Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM Central Time (GMT -5) for the Gilbert House Fellowship. Our plan is to study through the Bible in a live webcast every Sunday morning. Log on to www.GilbertHouse.org for more details.
