PRESIDENT OBAMA has appointed an “Ebola Czar”, but rather than a medical professional the president has selected Ron Klain, an attorney and influential operative within the Democrat Party. We find this odd, as the Department of Health and Human Services already has an Assistant Secretary for Readiness and Response, Dr. Nicole Lurie, who holds the rank of Rear Admiral.
The mission of the ASPR is “to lead the nation in preventing, responding to and recovering from the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters, ranging from hurricanes to bioterrorism.” Not to pick nits, but doesn’t the current Ebola situation fit her job description?
Also: CDC chief’s resume includes “Big Gulp” ban; government to study “social pollution” on Twitter; Ebola screeners wanted at JFK for $19/hour; German and Dutch biker gangs fighting ISIS with Kurds; and UK psyops created Irish Satanic Panic during the Troubles.
