During an interview with the American Family Association (AFA) this week, former Arkansas governor and talk show host Mike Huckabee expressed his frustration with the Republican Party’s concession on the issue of same-sex “marriage,” and said that if Republicans continue to support homosexuality, he will leave the party and become an Independent.“I am utterly exasperated with Republicans and the so-called leadership of the Republicans who have abdicated on this issue when, if they continue this direction, they guarantee they’re going to lose every election in the future,” he said on the AFA radio broadcast “A Time to Speak.”...

A prominent Nigerian reverend has revealed Islamist terror group Boko Haram destroyed over 180 churches in the West African country following its capture of towns and villages in the north-eastern states of Borno and Adamawa.Reverend Gideon Obasogie, the director of Catholic Social Communication of Maiduguri Diocese in Borno State, said the group's seizure of territory in both states has seen 185 churches torched and over 190,000 people displaced by their insurgency....

An atheist group has demanded that an Oklahoma school remove a poster from its main office–but the school district said “no.”
For the last 18 years, a poster based on a painting, “Faith in America” by Donald Zolan, has been displayed in the main office of Kenneth Cooper Middle School in Oklahoma City, Okla.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation recently sent a letter to Dr. Fred Rhodes, the Putnum County Schools Superintendent, arguing that the poster violates the establishment clause of the U.S. Constitution.
Freedom From Religion Foundation attorney Andrew Seidel wrote that the poster depicts “two children with their hands clasped in prayer, with an American flag background,” and as such is inappropriate material for a school.
“The meaning could not be more clear, real American children pray,” Seidel wrote.
Seidel then demanded that the poster be removed from the school and that he be informed in writing afterwards.
Putnam County Schools attorney Anthony Childers responded to the atheist group, writing that the poster does not “promote any particular faith and does not create coercive pressure on students who may see the image.”
Childers described clasped hands as a “non-sectarian symbol” that only refers to religion “in the most general sense.”
“We cannot agree that the poster displayed in the office is a per se violation of the Establishment Clause of the United States Constitution,”wrote Childers.
Childers added that the district will not be removing the poster.
In an email to Childers, Seidel called his response “insufficient” and threatened further action.

Duncan Hunter (R-CA) said that the Islamic State was doing all it could to make it a reality: “At least ten ISIS fighters have been caught coming across the Mexican border in Texas.”“There’s nobody talking about it,” Hunter added. “If you really want to protect Americans from ISIS, you secure the southern border. It’s that simple…They caught them at the border, therefore we know that ISIS is coming across the border. If they catch five or ten of them then you know there’s going to be dozens more that did not get caught by the border patrol.”...

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley sector caught a man from an eastern African nation trying to cross illegally into the U.S. Wednesday night, an incident they say highlights the risk posed by the unsecured border particularly in the midst of an Ebola epidemic.Though the man's origin country, Etritrea, has experienced no reported cases of Ebola, multiple border agents told TheBlaze that Wednesday’s apprehension is not the first time they have caught illegal immigrants from Africa, nor what they called “special interest aliens,” those coming from countries with known terrorist ties or experiencing outbreaks of infectious diseases.
The problem, one agent explained, is that Border Patrol has been given no clear protocols on handling situations like the Ebola outbreak....

China also accounts for more total global trade than the U.S. does, China consumes more energy than the U.S. does, and China now manufactures more goods than the U.S. does. In other words, the era of American economic dominance is rapidly ending. Global economic power is making a dramatic shift to the east, and that is going to have huge implications for our future. We already owe the Chinese well over a trillion dollars, and as our economic infrastructure crumbles we are feverishly borrowing even more money in a desperate attempt to prop up our falling standard of living. We can’t seem to match the work ethic, inventiveness and determination of China and other Asian nations and it is showing. If we continue down this path, what will the future look like for future generations of Americans?In terms of raw GDP, the U.S. is still number one, at least for now. Reporter Body-Slammed For Asking Harry Reid Question
“How does someone on a government salary most of their career accumulate your type of wealth?
WND — A celebrity reporter whose “gotcha” interviews have captured the likes of former IRS executive Lois Lerner has learned that asking some questions brings a distinctively negative response.
This time it was from a bodyguard for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
As Reid walked away, his protector slammed the reporter, Jason Mattera, who later posted video of the altercation online. (Watch Video Below)
Mattera, who is promoting his new book “Crapitalism,” asked the Democrat senator: “How does someone on a government salary most of their career accumulate your type of wealth?”
Michele Hickford, writing on former Rep. Allen West’s website, commented: “It’s funny how Harry Reid has no problem vilifying the Koch brothers for their wealth, but when it comes to questions about his own, it’s a different story.”
She said Reid “is curiously silent when asked how he amassed so much wealth while serving in government, so one of his bodyguards jumped in to answer – literally – and pinned Mattera against the wall.”“You can see Mattera’s legs dangling as the heavy hoisted him up,” she said.
“Gee, I guess that was a pretty sensitive question.”
At Human Events, there was advice for anyone considering posing the question “How did Harry Reid become a millionaire?”
It was: “Don’t ask. Seriously, don’t.”
John Hayward said Reid “is not even slightly interested in discussing how he cashed in on his political connections to become very wealthy after a lifetime of ‘public service.’”
“That’s a bit odd, since he spends a great deal of time criticizing other people’s money.”
He noted Reid’s bodyguard reacted “very badly when author Jason Mattera dares to ask one of the questions media is not permitted to ask of the aristocracy.”
Mattera’s video says estimates of Reid’s worth range as high as $6.7 million, after decades in Congress.
