“God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1

Israel Today Staff — A Palestinian Arab terrorist rammed his vehicle into a group of people waiting at a light rail station near the Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. At least three, and as many as 10 people were wounded in the attack, one seriously.

The assailant reportedly hit his initial victims and then continued driving into nearby vehicles until he could no longer do so, at which point he exited the car and began attacking passersby and onlookers with a metal bar.

Soon after, the attacker was shot and killed by either an armed civilian or a police officer.

The attack was the second act of vehicular terror in the capital in recent weeks. On October 22, a Palestinian Arab man with a history of security-related offenses, plowed his car into a group of people waiting on the light rail at nearby Ammunition Hill. Two people were killed, including a three-month-old baby, and half-a-dozen more were wounded in that attack.

These acts of vehicular terror are only a small part of escalating violence in Jerusalem over the past several months, much of it centering on and around the Temple Mount.
