Steve King, R-Iowa, says the unconstitutional granting of amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants is one promise President Obama actually intends to keep, and he says the Republican Congress must be ready to do what it takes to stop it from happening.The day after major Republican wins in the midterm elections, Obama reiterated his vow to act alone on immigration policy. On Wednesday, he told the nation he would announce a major immigration executive action in a prime-time speech Thursday at 8 p.m. EST. While not detailing what his executive orders would entail, reports have indicated that the centerpiece of Obama’s initiative would grant legal status and issue work permits to the parents of U.S. citizens and children already legalized in some way. Estimates suggest that would legalize anywhere from 4.5 to 6 million illegal immigrants.
While immigration has been a divisive issue among Republicans over the past couple of years, King said GOP lawmakers are virtually unanimous in fighting what they see as an unconstitutional power grab. He’s less certain Republicans are willing to to whatever it takes to win the fight.
“I think we’re really solid,” King said. “Those on the Republican side that would give the president a pass for usurping constitutional authority are very few. But how far are they willing to go to block this president?”
King has been a leading voice of opposition to granting legal status to people in the country illegally. He said he can remember where he was and the disappointment he felt when President Ronald Reagan signed the 1986 amnesty into law.
The congressman said Obama’s agenda is infinitely worse, and he fears the president is dead set on taking action on his own.
“The president has a very long string of broken promises, but this, I think, is going to be the promise he actually keeps. He is poised to violate the Constitution and create his own immigration law out of thin air. He has no constitutional authority to do this,” said King, who believes Obama’s insistence on this issue boils down to one thing.
“He thinks a high percentage of them are just undocumented Democrats, and the next phase would be to document them so that they can vote,” he said.

How does King conclude the president’s actions would be unconstitutional?
“Not only does Article I set aside all legislative power to the United States Congress, but also an enumerated power is to provide a uniform rule of naturalization. That’s Congress’ authority, and there are multiple court cases that identify that Congress sets immigration policy,” said King, who argued Obama has already flagrantly violated his authority on other decisions on immigration policy.
“He didn’t have legal authority to issue the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, also known as DREAMers) memo,” King said. “And he didn’t have the authority to do the Morton memos, which waive prosecution for those whom the president considers not to be a violent threat to society.”

The congressman stressed again the fight over executive authority versus enumerated powers for the Congress will determine the fate of America’s form of government.
“This constitutional republic cannot survive if we have a president who is going to defy the Constitution and his own oath to it,” King said. “Every member of Congress takes an oath to uphold the Constitution, House and Senate. We have a duty, too. That duty is to defend the Constitution.”...

Muslims Chant To Remove Jesus At Washington’s National Cathedral
By David Lazarus, Israel Today — It looked like a chilling scene from a Last Days, anti-Christ-takes-over-the-world disaster movie. Hundreds of Muslims take over America’s most notable church, prostrate on their prayer rugs as their unified chant echoes out in full volume: “There is only one god, he begets not and I bear witness that Muhammad is His only servant and Apostle.”
Only this was not a movie. This was the scene, last Friday, for the first time in history, at the iconic National Cathedral in Washington, where orthodox Muslim clerics were invited to lead an Islamic prayer service. A congregation of hundreds were lead by an Imam in declaring that “god has no son, that Jesus Christ cannot be his son, and that there is no god like Allah.”
Only a single middle-age woman jumped up in the middle of the service and shouted, “America was founded on Christian principles. . . . Leave our church alone!” She was escorted quickly out of the church by security guards.
The National Cathedral in Washington, DC has been an extremely important symbol of the Christian roots of the United States. The cathedral was designated by Congress as America's "National House of Prayer." The church has hosted a number of inaugural presidential prayer services, including Franklin Roosevelt and both presidents Bush.
The Rev. Franklin Graham, son of evangelist Billy Graham, took to Facebook in reaciton to the Muslim prayer service:
“The National Cathedral in Washington, DC–one of the most prominent Episcopal churches in America–will host a Muslim prayer service to Allah. It’s sad to see a church open its doors to the worship of anything other than the One True God of the Bible, who sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to earth to save us from our sins. Jesus was clear when He said, 'I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'” John 14:6
As of this writing, 80,000 people had “liked” Graham’s post.
The Islamic service at the cathedral was ostensibly intended to promote interfaith dialogue. Its organizers said that they hoped the service would “help correct some Americans’ misperceptions of Muslims as extremists and reinforce tolerance among faiths.”
However, it is hard to understand how a Christian church opening its sanctuary for Islamic prayers that renonce Jesus Christ contributes to interfaith tolerance. Muslims would never allow a Christian to preach the Gospel in a mosque. Palestinian Muslims continue to ban all Jews and Christians from praying at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. It would appear that “interfaith dialogue and tolerance” are just more code words calling for Muslims to rise up and conquer.
The Washington Post reported that the Islamic prayer service was closed to the public because of security concerns. Armed guards checked every person and every bag of those in attendance.
Islam is growing rapidly around the world, and is now the third-largest religion in the United States, behind Christianity and Judaism, with an estimated 2.6 million American Muslim citizens....

The day of the attack Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu justifiably blamed the incitement led by Palestinian President Abbas for the attack. But not all of the incitement comes from Abbas. Hatred is also generated by a EU that uses a hatred of Israel as a cover for the hatred of Jews they embraced seventy-plus years ago.

From our earliest moments as a nation, we have had a complicated history with immigrants. Whether discussing our history as a nation of immigrants or addressing those immigrants that were captured and enslaved to the anti-immigrant sentiment during the heydays of Ellis Island, we have had difficulty with this topic.
Still, we face a much more clear-cut issue today: do we have a right to enforce immigration laws? The answer for citizens of every other country on the planet is a most-decided and unequivocal “yes!”
However, politicians have augmented the problem considerably over the last few decades. Democrats have increasingly relied on illegal immigrants to boost Democrat votes and Republicans have tried to remain out of the fray and appear centrist on the issue of illegal immigration. Now, we have a full-scale crisis on our hands and we are days away from a dictator issuing amnesty on his own.
