By Greg Campbell — Comedian Jeff Foxworthy and country music star Alan Jackson have been scheduled to open the National Rifle Association’s annual convention being held in Nashville, Tennessee.While many celebrities embrace the NRA for the work they do to educate children about the safe handling of firearms and their relentless repelling of attacks on our Second Amendment rights, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America recently blasted the duo for agreeing to attend and even suggested that Moms Demand Action need to “educate” the two on the dangers of the NRA.
It does not get more obnoxiously condescending than that…
On their Facebook page, Moms Demand Action claimed that the NRA “pushed to arm convicted criminals, blocked federal gun violence research and board members promoted armed insurrection.”
In reality, the civil rights organization works to keep the gun-grabbers at bay and works to keep the government away from our uninfringeable right.
The link takes the user to the Moms Demand Action homepage where people can tweet directly to Jackson and/or Foxworthy.
The proposed tweet asks if Jackson supports “NRAExtremism” and the other proposed tweet tells Foxworthy that there is nothing funny about “scaring people just to boost gun sales.”
Of course, scaring people to advance an immoral and unconstitutional agenda seems A-okay with the anti-Second Amendment zealots of Moms Demand Action...
