Ted Cruz, R-Texas, came out swinging against President Obama in remarks made Wednesday at the Defeat Jihad Summit presented by the Center for Security Policy.Cruz compared the president’s timidity in the face of terrorism and his refusal to condemn murderous Muslim extremists with the “courageous” bravery of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in risking his own life to call out “the radical Islamic terrorists that are perverting his faith.”
The senator accused Obama of making a “pernicious” statement that implied Islamic terrorists who murder journalists “had a legitimate grievance.”
Cruz also said few people seemed to have noticed a “stunning” assault on free speech by Obama that “got very little press attention.”
The Texan began that portion of his remarks by noting something Obama said at last Thursday’s National Prayer Breakfast that was “every bit as troubling as analogizing to the Crusades” and invoking the moral relativism of comparing Christianity’s ancient misdeeds with modern radical Islamic atrocities.
Cruz noted how the president said, “[W]hen someone exercises their free speech to criticize the faith of another, we should all condemn it.”
“Now, I found that a rather stunning assault on free speech from the president. It got very little press attention. Because, lest it be lost on anybody, what the president was saying is that Charlie (Hebdo) was wrong to put a cartoon of the prophet Muhammad on their magazine.
“And, implicitly, what that’s saying is the terrorists who murdered those journalists had a legitimate grievance. That is wrong. That is pernicious.”
The senator asked people to imagine how different it would have been if the president had instead focused on a very different speech at the prayer breakfast.

“It was a brave, courageous speech for President al-Sisi where he stood up as a Muslim and called out the radical Islamic terrorists that are perverting his faith. And he called on other Muslims to speak out against the jihadists.”
Cruz added, “In doing so, he knew well that he was risking his life to say that. That these religious zealots and lunatics would only redouble their efforts to come after him.”
“Imagine what a different prayer breakfast it would have been if the president had stood up and commended President al-Sisi for having the courage to speak the truth. Rather than justifying violence through the moral relativism of ‘everybody does it,’ rather than suggesting that we should muzzle free speech because of radical Islamists who take to violence, imagine if the president had been willing to name and understand the enemy.”...

That excerpt puts Obama nearly 100 percent in line with the goals of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), a bloc of 57 Muslim countries that seeks to criminalize any and all criticism of everything Islam. In fact, the short video excerpt from Obama’s speech below – when compared to a meeting that took place in Istanbul, Turkey a few years ago – clearly shows that the President is in league with such forces.First, take a look at the quote from Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast, in question:
“…if, in fact, we defend the legal right of a person to insult another’s religion, we’re equally obligated to use our free speech to condemn such insults — (applause) — and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with religious communities, particularly religious minorities who are the targets of such attacks. Just because you have the right to say something doesn’t mean the rest of us shouldn’t question those who would insult others in the name of free speech….”Let’s rewind back to July 15, 2011. It was the first meeting of what has become known as the “Istanbul Process”. It was co-chaired by then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, then Foreign Minister of Turkey (now Prime Minister) Ahmet Davutoglu, and then Secretary-General of the OIC Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu. The intent of the meeting was to find a way to thread the needle between the recently passed United Nations Human Rights Council Resolution 16/18, which called for the suppression of anti-religious speech and the first amendment rights in the U.S....

Report: 20,000 ISIS Supporters Worldwide Have Flocked To Iraq, Syria To Join Terror Group
By Heather Clark, Christian News Network — (WASHINGTON) Supporters of the terrorist group ISIS are flocking to Iraq and Syria at record rates with an estimated 20,000 foreign fighters joining the barbarian organization worldwide, reports state.The information was released on Wednesday during a hearing before the House Homeland Security Commission. Nick Rasmussen, the chief of the National Counterterrorism Center, said that the rate is unprecedented compared to those that joined jihadists in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia and Iraq in the past 20 years.
Supporters from over 80 countries are believed to be in Iraq and Syria at this time, with at least 3,400 of them westerners. Approximately 150 Americans have attempted to travel overseas to join ISIS, some of which have succeeded while others have been caught. The current estimate of 20,000 is up from previous count of 10,000 and could escalate even higher to over 31,000....

The man who campaigned on the basis that he could get our enemies to like us just by talking to them has demonstrated an attitude that is either extremely naive or blatantly endangering the United States and the world.At issue right now is Iran’s development of nuclear power. It is feared that if this Islamic state obtains such power, they will use it to develop nuclear weapons to be used against the United States and Israel.
Despite the fact that the U.S. has supposedly been in negotiations with Iran to try to stop the development of nuclear weapons, Obama made a frightening statement about why the Iranians should be trusted with nuclear power and not using such power to make a nuclear weapon.
During a recent news conference, Obama said that the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamemei, has reassured him that the pursuit of nuclear weapons is contrary to their faith, so there is no need to worry about that as they develop nuclear power.
