Administration Files Brief After Justices Order A Response
By Bob Unruh — It’s not like the justices at the U.S. Supreme Court are unfamiliar with Obamacare.After all, nearly three years ago they looked at it and decided the penalties that the Obama administration created actually were taxes and it was constitutional.
Then they ruled that government could not force certain employers to violate their faith and subsidize abortions, as Obama had wanted.
There were arguments just a few weeks ago on whether the words in the law referencing subsidies for consumers who have insurance through exchanges set up “by the state” actually means the exchanges have to be set up by the state, or whether bureaucrats can have their own definition and allow subsidies for consumers with insurance through exchanges not set up by the state.
Now the justices are being asked to rule on whether the law is an illegal invasion of privacy. The argument is that its Independent Payment Advisory Board – which has been dubbed a “death panel” by critics – is unconstitutional because it would make life-and-death decisions for patients....

Michael Maloof, WND — (WASHINGTON) The sun’s first X-flare of the year – packed with an electromagnetic pulse effect capable of damaging electrical grids and unguarded electronics – erupted Wednesday in the direction of Earth, and its full impact is yet to be felt.The flare, observed by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite, contains the energy of millions of hydrogen bombs exploding all at once.
The sun is at its solar storm maximum, but solar flare activity on its surface has been unusually quiet.
However, a direct hit from an X-flare, the most powerful category, can have a major impact on communications, electrical grid systems and other unprotected electronics and automated control systems that run life-sustaining critical infrastructures.
The flares – some of which can be more than 20 times the size of the Earth – spew electromagnetic energy such as gamma rays.
The radiation travels at the speed of light, or around 186,000 miles a second, meaning it could reach Earth in as little as eight minutes....

The Federal Communications Commission today released the new net neutrality rules that it voted 3-2 to approve on February 26.
The FCC's Open Internet Order reclassifies broadband Internet under Title II of the Communications Act. This gives the agency the legal standing to enforce broader regulations on Internet service providers, including preventing them from blocking access to legal websites or charging content providers like Netflix for Facebook extra in order to operate at full speed.
"The American people reasonably expect and deserve an Internet that is fast, fair, and open," FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler said in a statement. "Today, they get what they deserve: strong, enforceable rules that will ensure the Internet remains open, now and in the future."
