By AUTHOR — (WASHINGTON) A “secret” Iranian military handbook, American officials say, confirms that the Islamic Republic of Iran is including in its arsenal a plan to launch a nuclear electromagnetic pulse attack on the American national grid system.

To carry out such an attack, from a high-altitude nuclear blast, would require Iran to have not only the missiles to launch such a device but also the technology to produce a nuclear explosion.

The revelation comes as the United States, along with the P5+1 countries that comprise the United Nations Security Council, is about to finalize negotiations over Iran’s nuclear development program.

There have been concerns raised that Iran still has the intention of making nuclear bombs using the technology in that program, and the negotiations may not do enough to prevent it.

The P5+1 countries – Great Britain, France, the United States, Russia and China plus Germany – have sought restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program to prevent that country from turning a program that reportedly is for medical and power production into a bomb factory.

Peter Vincent Pry, who is executive director of a congressional advisory group called the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, raised the alarm as the agreement is about to be finalized.

He said U.S. military officials have confirmed such an Iranian plan.

“Iranian military documents describe such a scenario – including a recently translated Iranian military textbook that endorses nuclear EMP attack against the United States,” Pry wrote in a recent column in Israel’s main online media network, Aruz Sheva.

“Iran with a small number of nuclear missiles can by EMP attack threaten the existence of modernity and be the death knell of Western principles of international law, humanism and freedom,” he said.

 “For the first time in history, a failed state like Iran could destroy the most successful societies on Earth and convert an evolving benign world order into world chaos.”

WND could not immediately independently confirm the military documents cited by Pry.

The revelation comes as Israel has just re-elected Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister. He recently warned a joint session of Congress about reaching any nuclear agreement with Iran.

According to sources, the textbook refers to an EMP attack on some 20 locations in the United States.

Pry pointed out that Iran, in fact, would not need an intercontinental missile to launch a high-altitude EMP attack that could knock out the U.S. national grid system and the other life-sustaining critical infrastructures that depend on the grid to function.

He said Iran could deliver a nuclear attack from a ship just off the U.S. East Coast either by a missile or by launching into orbit around the Earth a satellite which, in effect, would be a nuclear device....

Also, Obama is supporting mandatory voting because he believes it will help Democrat party and grow government. Obama forgot to mention that there's mandatory voting in North Korea too. Later, James Baker III is now advising Jeb Bush on foreign policy in his presidential effort, at Jeb’s invitation. Just like Obama, Baker hates Israel and criticized the Senators who signed the letter to Iran. Why would Jeb bring this man into his campaign?

By Norvell Rose, Western Journalism — Any time Barack Obama uses a word like “transformative,” people who cherish the Constitution and the rule of law have learned to brace themselves against a likely storm of liberal attack that will further erode the foundations of traditional America.

Speaking before a town hall on Wednesday in Cleveland, President Obama used the “t” word — transformative — to describe how the country would be changed if voting were not voluntary, but mandatory.

NBC News reports that the president told the audience something that was eerily reminiscent of his now infamous declaration years ago to his adoring acolytes about “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” Said the president only a day ago:
“It would be transformative if everybody voted.

“If everybody voted, then it would completely change the political map in this country.”
Purportedly, in making those remarks the president was talking about counteracting the influence of big money in politics. But paying close attention to what Obama told the Cleveland crowd reveals why compulsory voting would indeed be “transformative” — transformative for Democrats who would likely gain significant and possibly permanent political power from making sure certain voter groups went to the polls....

Common Core Rebellion To “Opt Out” Of Tests

By Alex Newman, The New American — As the federally funded Common Core testing regime is rolled out across much of the nation, a growing rebellion against the tests and accompanying data-mining scheme is sweeping the country as well. In states all over America, parents and students are joining the “opt out” movement, refusing to take the controversial assessments funded and pushed by the Obama administration. Despite pushback from officials, many educators are encouraging children to refuse to take the tests, too. Because the national testing regime is so crucial to the overall plot to nationalize education via Common Core and compile Orwellian federal dossiers on each student, activists say the surging grassroots move to “opt out” has the potential to help derail the administration’s broader “cradle-to-career” education “reform” agenda.

More than 40 states are currently in the process of attempting to force children to take the federally funded tests. The assessments, of course, are aligned with the widely criticized Common Core standards pushed by Obama and billionaire global government advocate Bill Gates. As of now, there are two “multi-state consortia,” both funded by the federal government, in charge of the testing regime. The first one, the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC), was ruled unconstitutional by a Missouri judge last month, but continues to be imposed on many states. The other is known as the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC), and it, too, is facing growing nationwide protests. States have a wide variety of policies on opting out of the testing regime, with some making the right to refuse clear and explicit, while others claim the exams are “mandatory.”...
