Warns Tehran Against ‘Silly Games’ With Obama
By Cheryl Chumley — Tough-talking Texas lawmaker Louie Gohmert issued some unequivocal advice to President Obama during his recent radio interview on “Washington Watch,” telling host Tony Perkins it’s time the commander in chief take up bombs and send them Iran’s way.“You know what? We need to encourage this administration to go take out Iran’s nuclear capability,” Gohmert said. “This is serious stuff, and I don’t think we ought to put Israel in position of having to save both themselves and the United States. I think it’s time to bomb Iran, anything that resembles a nuclear facility with centrifuges, it’s time to bomb.”
Gohmert expressed frustration with the White House’s watery approach to dealing with a nuclear Iran and suggested the only way Tehran would respect the West would be with a show of force.
“We need to make clear to Iran: You can play these silly games with our president that buys into them and our secretary of state, but the American people aren’t buying it, and you’re going to pay a price,” Gohmert said, according to audio of the show posted on RightWingWatch.org. “We have got to get that message across or there’ll never be a diplomatic solution unless they know we’re serious about coming and taking out what they’re trying to do.”
Perkins then commented that Iran was probably the only entity “more disappointed [with Israel's election results] than President Obama.”
And Gohmert’s reply?
“[Yes], they were hoping they would get a weak-kneed leader,” he said. “I’m hoping and praying the president will realize, despite the agenda he has that has put Christians in jeopardy around the world, that he will not want to leave the Democratic Party so devastated that they won’t recover for many decades, that maybe he’ll start being more helpful to Israel instead of slapping them around as an unwelcomed visitor and start treating them like a friend.”
Gohmert added: “And maybe once he starts doing that, he’ll realize we do need to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities that we know of and anything that they move to fix, we bomb that as well.”...

Some members of the American public, and sadly many in the professed Christian Church, don’t have a clue when it comes to how Biblical Law would be implemented in society, even though at America’s initial founding it was. In fact, in most cases, when someone calls for such implementation, they are summarily referred to as the Christian version of the Taliban. Nothing could be further from the truth. And so, as a result of a recent article on Sharia concerning stealing, I thought this one instance would be a great way to compare how Sharia doesn’t compare to Biblical law.
First, consider that America’s laws used to be based on Biblical law. I have provided the history on how sodomy was dealt with in our history in the states in a previous article, which you can read here. The Bible has been abandoned by America for law and so she has turned to humanistic thinking for determining law and justice. Now, she is facing pressure to cave to foreign law, specifically Sharia, in many parts of the country. Thankfully, many are standing against Sharia.
So, the contrast I want to show here is what Biblical law is not and I’m going to use the illustration of contributor Walid Shoebat, whose recent article complete with pictures, demonstrates how Islamists deal with thieves. To put it bluntly, they hack the man’s hand off… with a meat cleaver....
