Feds Raid Texas Independence Meeting Even As Ron Paul Says Secession Has Already Begun

Natural News

Texas Was Illegally Annexed
Into The United States In 1845

By J. D. Heyes, Natural News — It seems the federal government has about as much tolerance (or as little tolerance) for secession as it did 150-odd years ago, which is to say, not much at all.

A recent "congressional" meeting of a pro-secessionist group called the Republic of Texas at a Bryan, Texas, meeting hall drew more than a few onlookers, as the "senators" and "president" gathered to discuss issues pertaining to the national currency, the development of international relations and to recognize and celebrate the birthday of one of the oldest members.

However, as MySanAntonio.com reported, "this wasn't 1836" and it would not turn out to an "ordinary legislative session."

Just minutes into the meeting, a man positioned among onlookers rose and moved to the hall door, opening it for scores of armed and armored law enforcement personnel. The 20-plus officers were members of the Bryan Police Department, the Brazos County Sheriff's Department, the Kerr County Sheriff's Department, and the Texas Rangers. Also included in the law enforcement group: Agents of the Texas District Attorney and the FBI.

Illegal Summons

MySanAntonio.com further reported:

In the end, at least 20 officers corralled, searched and fingerprinted all 60 meeting attendees, before seizing all cellphones and recording equipment in a Valentine's Day 2015 raid on the Texas separatist group.

"We had no idea what was going on," said John Jarnecke, president of the Republic of Texas. "We knew of nothing that would warrant such an action."

The San Antonio paper said that the raid was conducted in response to a legal summons sent by the group to a Kerr County judge and bank employee, demanding they make an appearance before the Republic's court at the Veterans and Foreign Wars building in Bryan the day before the raid.

The group maintains a small working government which includes official currency, courts and a congress.

"You can't just let people go around filing false documents to judges trying to make them appear in front of courts that aren't even real courts," Kerr County Sheriff Rusty Hierholzer, leader of the operation, told MySanAntonio.com.

“Show of Force”

Hierholzer said that he intentionally used a "show of force" to serve a warrant for what was only a suspected misdemeanor. But he said he did so because he had concerns that there are some extreme elements within the group that may become violent. He cited as proof a 1997 incident where an armed Republic member held at bay some 300 state troopers for a week.

"We've had years of bad press, but we're not those people," Jarnecke said, regarding the '97 incident. "But yes, we are still making every attempt to get independence for Texas and we're doing it in a lawful international manner."

The group has a number of issues with the federal government, and chief among them is that Texas was illegally annexed into the United States in 1845. However, most of their complaints have to do with the U.S. Congress and the president.

One of the Republic's senators, Robert Wilson, has compared politicians in the nation's capital to the "kings and emperors" of past times. He sees independence for Texas as a part of a worldwide effort by people seeking to regain more local control over their lives.

"This is the century for colonialist ambitions to be reversed," said the 78-year-old pastor. "I've watched a lot of things happen, and the people of the world are fed up. The spirit of the world right now is: make things smaller, move governments closer to home, take back self-rule."

“There Is Going To Be A
De Facto Secession Movement Going On”

According to the search warrant, the invalid court summons to the Republic of Texas was signed by Susan Cammak, a Kerr County homeowner, and David Kroupa, a Republic of Texas judge from Harris County.

Meanwhile, former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, says he believes in many ways, state-level secession has already begun.

In a mid-February event hosted by the libertarian Mises Institute, Paul said:

I would like to start off by talking about the subject and the subject is secession and, uh, nullification, the breaking up of government, and the good news is it's gonna happen. It's happening. ...

There is going to be a de facto secession movement going on. The states are going to refuse to listen to some of the laws. We've seen tremendous success already with states saying to the federal government, 'We're not gonna listen to you anymore about the drug laws.' And they're getting out of it, and I think the American people are waking up to that, and as far as I'm concerned, the more the merrier.

U.S. ‘Ignoring Intel’ On ISIS Chemical Attacks
Expert has warned of threat from fighters returning to West

By Aaron Klein, WND — (TEL AVIV) Egypt provided the United States with information that ISIS is attempting to purchase chemical materials such as chlorine gas that can be utilized in terrorist attacks, an Egyptian intelligence official told WND.

Yet the official claimed the U.S. has been “ignoring” the intelligence as well as information ISIS has already utilized chlorine gas in attacks against Kurdish forces in recent weeks, including in battles in Tikrit, Iraq.

The developments came after a British chemical weapons expert who advised security forces in Baghdad issued a warning that returning ISIS fighters could purchase chemical materials and carry out attacks against civilian targets in the U.S. or U.K.

Last weekend, the Kurdistan Regional Security Council in Iraq claimed ISIS deployed weaponized chlorine gas in recent surges. The substance is banned on the battlefield by the international Chemical Weapons Convention....

White House Dismisses Ayatollah’s
‘Death To America’ Rhetoric:
‘Intended For A Domestic Political Audience’

By Ben Shapiro, Ben Shapiro’s Truth Revolt — n Monday, Josh Kraushaar of National Journal reported that according to CNN, the White House dismissed Ayatollah Khamenei’s “Death to America” rhetoric on the grounds that it was “intended for a domestic political audience.”

This casual dismissal of Iranian extremism comes hard on the heels of the Obama administration repeatedly claiming that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements on a Palestinian state must not only be misinterpreted, but taken at face value. Netanyahu stated that a Palestinian state could not come to fruition during his tenure as prime minister because of Palestinian embrace of terrorism. The White House insisted on interpreting that remark as a complete denial of the possibility of negotiations at any point, with White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough telling J Street yesterday, “We cannot simply pretend that those comments were never made, or that they don’t raise questions about the Prime Minister’s commitment to achieving peace through direct negotiations.”...

The Mufti Of Saudi Arabia, The Head Of Sharia Law,
Just Ordered This Command:
Destroy All Christian Churches

By Theodore Shoebat, Shoebat Foundation — The Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah who is the head of sharia law in the country, has ordered that the Saudi government demolish all of the churches in the land. As we read from a very recent report:
Saudi Arabia’s top Muslim cleric called on Tuesday for the destruction of all churches in the Arabian Peninsula after legislators in the Gulf state of Kuwait moved to pass laws banning the construction of religious sites associated with Christianity.

Speaking to a delegation in Kuwait, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, who serves as the grand mufti of Saudi Arabia, said the destruction of churches was absolutely necessary and is required by Islamic law, Arabic media reported.

Abdullah, who is considered to be the highest official of religious law in the Sunni Muslim kingdom, also serves as the head of the Supreme Council of Ulema (Islamic scholars) and of the Standing Committee for Scientific Research and Issuing of Fatwas.

Last month, Osama Al-Munawer, a Kuwaiti member of parliament, announced his plans to submit a draft law calling for the removal of all churches in the country, according to the Arabian Businesses news site. Al-Munawer later clarified that the law would only apply to new churches, while old ones would be allowed to stay erect.
If the Mufti of Saudi Arabia wants to demolish all churches, then why should we allow for mosques in Christian nations?...

Robert Spencer On Why ISIS Is Islamic

Jihad Watch
The Islamic State: Is It Islamic? And Why It Matters

Robert Spencer, author of 13 books on Islam and Director of Jihad Watch spoke to a local gathering of ACT! for America, to give his thoughts on Why ISIS is Islamic.

Al Qaeda has been replaced with the "JV" team, ISIS, as the world's leading terrorist organization. Our government seems incapable of identifying the growing threat of radical Islamists and is unwilling even to name it. Robert shows, using the Quran, why ISIS is Islamic, and why so many other seemingly benign Islamic groups fail to live up to the true nature of the Quran and life of Muhammad. He lays out this growing threat and what we need to know about their doctrine, goals, and strategies, if we are to have any hope in destroying them!

CIA Director Brennan (A Muslim Himself):
Using Term “Radical Islam” Gives Jihadis
“Religious Legitimacy”

By Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch — He is saying that we have to pretend, and that the Obama Administration pretends, that they’re not Islamic at all — in other words, that the Administration is determined to ignore what they state as their guiding ideology, motives and goals. This is a recipe for disaster, as one cannot defeat an enemy one refuses to understand.

Also, the idea that Muslims are looking to non-Muslim authorities for “religious legitimacy” is absurd. The Qur’an calls non-Muslims the “most vile of created beings” (98:6). Non-Muslims can’t legitimize anything for believing Muslims.

“CIA Director says Islamic State represents ”ideology of violence, not Islam,” ANI, March 23, 2015 (thanks to Lookmann):
Washington: CIA Director John O. Brennan has cautioned against categorizing the Islamic State (IS) fighters as followers of Muslim faith by saying that they represent an “ideology of violence” and not religion.

In an interview, Brennan stuck to the Obama administration’s official line and stressed on the need to not use phrases like “radical Islam” for the IS terrorists, The Washington Times reported.

Brennan warned that it would be a mistake to link the IS with Islam, when majority of Muslims around the globe have denounced, condemned their actions and therefore, he added, “we should not give them any religious legitimacy.”

The CIA Chief added that he was prepared to call them “extremists” and “violent terrorists” who misrepresent Islamic faith....

Jesus Privately Briefing His Inner Circle of Disciples
Regarding The Last Days
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. ~ Matthew 24:3-14
