Ted Cruz, of Texas, was asked by CBS News correspondent Vladimir Duthiers on Tuesday if he would “take” away the health care of 16 millions of Americans insured under Obamacare if elected president. Cruz deftly handled the question and called Obamacare the “single largest job killer” in the United States.He also shared his thoughts about how to handle the growing threat posed by ISIS, stating that “we need seriousness.” He went on to say that the Kurds are already there fighting ISIS without the right military equipment, which is instead being directed to Baghdad, adding, “The Kurds can be our primary boots on the ground.”
Regarding Syria, Cruz said “The touchstone of our foreign policy should be vital US national security interest.”
When asked to state in one sentence why he should be elected president, Senator Cruz stated, “Because I’ll tell the truth, and I’ll do what I said I would do.”
There’s a long road ahead, but maybe, just maybe, we can begin to exhale....

By Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon — (LAUSANNE, Switzerland) Efforts by the Obama administration to stem criticism of its diplomacy with Iran have included threats to nations involved in the talks, including U.S. allies, according to Western sources familiar with White House efforts to quell fears it will permit Iran to retain aspects of its nuclear weapons program.A series of conversations between top American and French officials, including between President Obama and French President Francois Hollande, have seen Americans engage in behavior described as bullying by sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.
The disagreement over France’s cautious position in regard to Iran threatens to erode U.S. relations with Paris, sources said.
Tension between Washington and Paris comes amid frustration by other U.S. allies, such as Saudi Arabia and Israel. The White House responded to this criticism by engaging in public campaigns analysts worry will endanger American interests.

By Caleb Howe, Ben Shapiro’s Truth Revolt — Authorities report that Air Force veteran and member of the National Guard Hasan Edmonds was arrested, along with his cousin, Jonas Edmonds, on charges including supporting terrorism in Illinois on Wednesday night. The arrests were made by the Chicago FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.The guardsman told an undercover FBI agent about a plot to attack a military installation in Illinois, allegedly involving the cousin Jonas using Hasan Edmonds' uniforms to gain access. When he was arrested, Hasan Edmonds was at the airport on his way to Cairo, apparently with the intent of joining ISIS.
This arrest comes only a week after another Air Force veteran, Tairod Nathan Webster Pugh, was indicted for his own plan to travel to Syria and join ISIS. Pugh was a convert to Islam....

Rush Limbaugh has shocked listeners by warning the Iranian government’s hoped-for “12th Imam” is “equivalent to the Antichrist,” the prophesied end times figure believed by many to be the personification of evil.The bold declaration from the talk radio titan is drawing new attention to Joel Richardson, whose bestselling “The Islamic Antichrist: The Shocking Truth About the Real Nature of the Beast” developed the theory that the Islamic “Mahdi” is none other than the Antichrist of Revelation.
Limbaugh made the comments in a discussion about the prospect of Iran using a nuclear weapon against other Muslims. A caller protested an Iranian nuclear attack would likely kill “just as many Arabs as Israelis.”
However, as Limbaugh noted, the Iranian government doesn’t have any solidarity with Saudi Arabia, the Palestinians or Sunni Muslims except as a tool to use against Israel.
In Limbaugh’s words: “This is Shiite versus Sunni. It’s an argument within Islam.”
He believes the Iranian government is being driven by its Shiite Islamic beliefs about the end times and argues the mullahs are not rational actors who can negotiate in good faith.
“People have also said, ‘Don’t they realize if they nuke Israel, that they’ll be nuking themselves because there will be a retaliation?’ Well, if you go read about the 12th Imam, courtesy of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, you find out that all of this is about the apocalypse. And they believe it.
“This is religious truth to them. The 12th Imam can only surface after Israel is done away with, and the 12th Imam is the equivalent to Antichrist and so forth.”

Bowe Bergdahl was recently charged with desertion months after he was released from Taliban captivity in exchange for five suspected terrorists. The pursuit of such charges has been discussed since several of his fellow soldiers described his actions prior to being captured by enemy fighters while stationed in Afghanistan in 2009.He reportedly announced that he no longer wished to fight for the U.S. and left his platoon, leading to a search mission that cost as many as eight other soldiers their lives.
Nevertheless, the Obama administration approved a deal that would bring Bergdahl home while freeing potentially dangerous prisoners – some of whom have been linked to new terror plots since their release.
For Gary Sinise, an actor, musician, and dedicated military supporter, the executive branch must account for its actions. He took to Twitter this week to insist that the administration “must explain, especially 2 families of those lost attempting 2 find him,” the rationale behind the prisoner swap.
His post quickly gained traction with roughly 1,000 users adding it to their collection of favorite tweets and another 1,250 or so sharing it with their followers as of this writing.
A clear majority of the post’s dozens of responses were supportive.
One user wrote that it is “refreshing” to see “a Hollywood star with the guts to stand up for our veterans!”
Others who echoed Sinise’s frustration, however, were less than optimistic about awaiting any response from the White House.
“It will never happen,” one post predicted. “They never explain anything. It’s all just ‘fake scandals.’”
