By Aaron Klein, WND — wo days after the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack in Benghazi, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received an email from confidante and former Bill Clinton White House staffer Sidney Blumenthal punching holes in the administration narrative that blamed the attack on an anti-Islam YouTube video.One day earlier, Blumenthal presented Clinton with information from a “sensitive source” supporting the video narrative. But he followed up that correspondence with a contrary report that the attack was carried out by a jihadist group that had planned it at least one month in advance.
Yet Clinton and the Obama administration persisted for weeks in blaming the obscure anti-Islam video as the primary motivation. In her memoir, “Hard Choices,” published last June, Clinton continued to defend the YouTube-video storyline, claiming it was a reflection of what the U.S. intelligence community believed at the time.
The latest information comes as Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., chairman of the House committee investigating the Benghazi attack, on Tuesday asked Clinton to appear for a private interview regarding her controversial use of a private email account during her tenure as secretary of state.
Gowdy sent a letter to Clinton’s attorney characterizing the former secretary’s “email arrangement with herself” as “highly unusual, if not unprecedented.” He added Clinton’s disclosure that she deleted all emails from her private server “only exacerbates our need to better understand what the secretary did, when she did it and why she did it.”...

By Newsmax Wires — A revision to Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act will prohibit discrimination of people based on sexual orientation or gender identity, former Indianapolis Mayor and Eli Lilly executive Bart Peterson said at a news conference on Thursday.Indiana's Republican leadership agreed to rewrite the law after an outcry by business leaders and civil rights groups saying it potentially discriminated against gays and lesbians.
Indiana's Republican legislative leaders unveiled changes to the state's new religious objections law that has faced criticism it could allow discrimination against lesbians and gays.
The amendment to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act released Thursday prohibits service providers from using the law as a legal defense for refusing to provide services, goods, facilities or accommodations. It also bars discrimination based on race, color, religion, ancestry, age, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or United States military service.
A conference committee must discuss the proposed changes to the law, and both the House and the Senate will need to approve them before they can go to Gov. Mike Pence.

“Strange, loud noises have been scaring pets, waking up children and triggering car alarms for more than a month in Berkeley, California, but local residents and police are still at a loss when it comes to identifying what’s now called the “Berkeley Boom.”
The first “booms” were reported to authorities on February 26, according to Berkeleyside. The noises haven’t been heard every night, but streams of tweets have gradually documented their recurring nature, with people in neighboring Oakland and Emeryville also saying they’ve heard the sounds.
“I’d say it was around one in the morning, scared the hell out of me. I jumped out of bed,” local resident Rachael Marzoline said to local KPIX 5, referring to the sound she heard on the evening of March 29.” source

This was done as part of the school’s Foreign Language Week, which was conducted to celebrate the “many races, cultures and religions that make up [the US and the Pine Bush] School District.”The Hill by Sufyan bin Uzayr - One would expect the multicultural and cosmopolitan American society to appreciate such gestures. However, the reactions to the recitation of the Pledge in Arabic spoke otherwise: the language in itself was described to be meant for terrorists, and associated with Islam. Such bigotry once again highlighted everything that is wrong with USA: xenophobia, racism, ignorance, violence and above all, Islamophobia. (Then why are so many Arab-speaking Muslims coming here?)
