dividing the holy city.

Silberstein warned that “preconceived ideas are very difficult to correct, especially when there is a well-oiled and financed machine working relentlessly to persuade Israelis and the world as to the necessity of dividing up Jerusalem.”

By Election 2016, WND — The operator of a political website that parodies the presidential hopes of Hillary Clinton has just gotten a lesson in realpolitik and what happens when someone crosses the Clintons.Marinka Peschmann, a freelance journalist and author, has been marketing a number of different buttons and bumper stickers for the “Hillary 2016: Prison or POTUS” campaign on the website Zazzle.com. One of those caught the eye of Clinton-campaign lawyers and is now no longer available.
Clinton’s campaign claimed Peschmann had infringed on the trademark for the official campaign logo.
Peschmann announced the takedown on her website:

Transcript: As the old saying goes, All good things come to an end. Such seems to be the case with the United States handing over control of the Internet to the international community, conceding that it takes a village to run the Internet.
This is yet another dubious landmark of the Obama Administration, giving away another American asset. But the weirdest thing about this giveaway is that the Internet is about the only thing I can think of that government ever got right. It actually works. And in many ways, it seems like a privately run entity. But to give it over to China, North Korea or Yemen? That doesn't exactly bolster any confidence I might have in the phrase "under new management.."
Bye bye Hong Kong. So long Panama Canal. And now, adios U.S. controlled web domains.
ICANN is the San Francisco based organization that oversees the Internet addresses for the entire world but that's today, but tomorrow that's gone for ICANN just announced that they are handing over the reins of all the web addresses in the world to a yet to be named international coalition, tentatively being referred to as a "global multi-stakeholder community" before the end of 2015." Sounds to me like a version of the United Nations controlling the domains of General Motors, Apple, General Electric, etc.
Last I checked, nothing good has come out of the UN for more than 50 years. Pardon me for my ignorance, but what makes us thing this international village thing for the Internet will work any better?
One more age old adage says "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Unfortunately big government thrives on breaking things so they can fix them inefficiently so there is more need for big government to continue that insane cycle.
