By Katie Pavlich, Townhall — According to a new report from Fox News' Catherine Herridge, teammates of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl were asked to sign non-disclosure agreements years ago after discussing his desertion with the Joint Chiefs Chairman in Afghanistan.

According to Herridge's reporting and General Bob Scales, asking soldiers to sign non-disclosure agreements is unprecedented.

"I can't remember, ever, have an enlisted soldier sign a non-disclosure agreement for anything. This is completely unprecedented," Scales said. "These non-disclosure agreements have got nothing to do with military justice."

Further, new information shows Bergdahl not only deserted, but started planning for his departure by sleeping on the floor and prepared himself for life outside of the military. ...

“Arizona authorities are bracing for an anti-Islam biker rally scheduled outside a Phoenix mosque. John Ritzheimer, an ex-Marine organizing the event called for participants to come armed and draw cartoons of Prophet Mohammed.

Ritzheimer says he is targeting the Islamic Community Center because the two Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) sympathizers who attacked a Texas event featuring caricatures of Mohammed used to attend the mosque.

“This is in response to the recent attack in Texas where two armed terrorist[s], with ties to ISIS, attempted jihad. Everyone is encouraged to bring American flags and any message that you would like to send to the known acquaintances of the two gunmen. This Islamic Community Center is a known place that the two terrorist[s] frequented,” says the Facebook invitation to the event. By Thursday afternoon, fewer than 300 out of nearly 3,000 people invited had indicated they might show up.”

By Norvell Rose, Western Journalism — The dollar costs of the recent Baltimore riots are starting to be added up, and they’re staggering. Not only are these figures climbing into the tens-of-millions of dollars, but Baltimore officials are looking for outside help to pay the bills — that means they want U.S. taxpayers to shell out to bail out the budget of a city criticized by many for doing little to stop the mayhem.

According to an article in The Baltimore Sun, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake — who infamously said she initially wanted to give the Freddie Gray rioters “who wished to destroy, space to do that” — will now lead the charge to seek “reimbursement” from the federal government for Baltimore’s expenses in dealing with the violent protestors, looters, arsonists and trouble-makers who terrorized parts of the city.

Baltimore’s finance director says, at this point, the price tag for the city’s part in covering riot expenses will be at least $20 million — that includes costs of police personnel and equipment. And guess where they want to go to get some of the money to cover that bill?

“Henry J. Raymond, Baltimore’s finance director, said the city can temporarily cover the costs from its rainy day fund while seeking reimbursement for up to 75 percent from Federal Emergency Management Agency,” reports The Sun newspaper.

Those federal funds would, supposedly, be made available if President Obama issues a disaster declaration because of the widespread damage from the racially charged rioting and the police action in response to it. “The $20 million estimate released by city officials does not include the cost to businesses of the unrest. The figure also does not include state or federal costs. It’s unclear when those figures will be tallied.”...

IF HILLARY BECOMES PRESIDENT,
WHO WILL MAKE HER OBEY THE LAW?

By Byron York, Washington Examiner — Last year, before Hillary Clinton's secret email system became publicly known, Congress passed a law to keep presidents from trying the same trick. If Clinton wins the White House, the law could well be put to the test.

The statute is the Presidential and Federal Records Act Amendments of 2014. It recognizes that government officials sometimes (or in Clinton's case, all the time) want to use private email accounts — in the words of the law, "non-official electronic messaging accounts" — to conduct government business. Such communications are still federal records, Congress declared, and must be preserved in accordance with existing laws requiring not just the president but all federal officials to preserve their documents.

This is what the new law says about emails:
The President, the Vice President, or a covered employee may not create or send a Presidential or Vice Presidential record using a non-official electronic message account unless the President, Vice President, or covered employee (1) copies an official electronic messaging account of the President, Vice President, or covered employee in the original creation or transmission of the Presidential record or Vice Presidential record; or (2) forwards a complete copy of the Presidential or Vice Presidential record to an official electronic messaging account of the President, Vice President, or covered employee not later than 20 days after the original creation or transmission of the Presidential or Vice Presidential record.
That's pretty clear. All presidential communications must be preserved in a timely fashion....

Prophetic Implications and Pending Judgment as Babylon-America Mocks God

Many Biblical scholars and expositors disagree on the ostensible lack of prophetic presence of America in bible prophecy, while others assert that America is Babylon or variations of modern Babylon as described in prophetic revelations. Still others ask why such distinctions are important. The answer exists in some 220 verses of the Bible that describe a nation, other than Israel, that plays a critical role in world events during the times that lead up to the prophetic end times. It is here that Christians need to fully understand the significance of America’s role in the orchestration of events that will impact the United States, its citizens, and the world as prophetic events begin to take shape on a near-daily basis.

In his book titled The End of America, John price notes that there are 1,239 prophecies in the Old Testament and 578 prophecies in the New Testament, encompassing 8,352 total verses. Considering that the entire Bible contains 31,124 verses, one can easily see that over 25 percent of the Bible is prophecy. Considering that many prophecies have yet to be fulfilled, it is necessary for us to have a proper understanding of the facts and clues contained within these prophecies, including the identity of nations and people.

The Bible is clear on the fate of such nations. The harbingers exist, and the storm clouds are unmistakable to anyone with any degree of spiritual discernment. We have chosen pride over repentance, sin over sanctity, and lawlessness over the law of God. Based on events that have occurred in America during the last half-century alone, America appears to fulfill aspects of Bible prophecy in a manner that should concern, if not alarm, every Christian citizen of our land.
