The High Commission for Human Rights in Iraq (IHCHR) has estimated the Islamic State group, or ISIS, has committed at least five million human right abuses in only five months, and has categorized some of the crimes as genocide.
Fazel Ghazawi, head of the rights watchdog, said in a statement release on Friday the jihadists have committed crimes against women, children, and people with disabilities.

By Bob Unruh, WND — Hezbollah, the Middle East power broker that until just months ago was listed by the United States as a terror threat, is capitalizing on the fear of the gruesome and barbaric activities of ISIS to build its own empire, according to a new report.The Middle East Media Research Institute documents how Hezbollah, which has been an influence in Lebanon and its neighbors for years, and its “supportive media” now “have an interest in stoking fears of ISIS and Jahbat Al-Nusra among Lebanon’s Christian and Druze minorities.”
It is going so far as to arm Christians and allow them to set up militias and train them “to justify the existence of the organization’s weapons and its military involvement in Syria, to present itself as the only element that can defend the country’s minorities, and also to entice them to join its ranks.”
WND has reported already that Christian villagers in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon are forming militias and are being trained by Hezbollah.
The report noted Hezbollah has been alarmed by the Sunni jihadists from Syria, so it is training Christian militias and setting them up in positions beside Hezbollah fighters....

Responding to the news through his online Insight blog, Author John McTernan sees this vote as more than a simple repudiation of the classic Christian definition of marriage embraced by the Catholic Church. Probing beneath the headlines, McTernan points out how Pope Francis’ recent statements on same sex unions seem to be leading Catholics, representing 84% of the population of Ireland, to embrace a new understanding of homosexuality and homosexual marriage. In the process, McTernan believes the Roman church is preparing for its role as the end-time “whore of Babylon,” referred to in Revelation Chapter 17.
According to McTernan, Ireland’s undermining of traditional marriage coupled with its intense animosity toward Israel and the Jewish people are bringing curses upon the Emerald Isle. McTernan writes, “The nation is also heading into crushing poverty as its economy is being crushed by debt. I see Ireland heading into poverty exactly like the Palestinians. Ireland rejects Israel and identifies with the Palestinians, so God is sending the same poverty on Ireland. Ireland has the spirit of Esau towards Israel, so it will get the same curses.”

BBC News — Nearly half of the global population will be using the internet by the end of this year, according to a new report.The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a United Nations body, predicts that 3.2 billion people will be online. The population currently stands at 7.2 billion.
About 2 billion of those will be in the developing world, the report added.

In 1880, according to the Census Bureau, there were 50,189,209 people in the United States. These included, the Census Bureau notes, Mark Twain, who had not yet written The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn; Thomas Edison, who would start his electrical company two years later; and Booker T. Washington, who would open the Tuskegee Institute the next year.The analysis actually underestimates the number of abortions in the United States since Roe. The figure is much closer to 58 million abortions, as LifeNews noted back in January — since the CNS analysis stops at 2011....
The Guttmacher Institute has estimated the number of abortions in the United States in each year from 1973 through 2011. They add up to 51,376,750—or 1,187,541 more than the entire population of the nation as of 1880.
