A ‘Predictable’ Decision That Reflects Judges 21:25
On Today’s Broadcast (June 26, 2015): Guest Ray Comfort is the founder, president and CEO of Living Waters Publications. Ray joined Jim to talk about his newest release called, 'Audacity.'[Friday] morning the U.S. Supreme Court announced their decision concerning a case dealing with so-called same-sex marriage. In a 5-4 decision, the court said that the 14th Amendment requires states to license these marriages.
Ray called this a 'predictable' decision that reflects Judges 21:25 which says, 'In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.' He noted that just as this verse comes from the book of Judges, this court decision came from a handful judges doing that which is right in their own eyes.
Ray described how 'Audacity' came together and what is different about it in terms of how it approaches the subject of homosexuality. In fact, it even impressed an atheist friend of Ray's who appreciated its emphasis on love. As Ray eventually showed, that love comes out in his presentation of the gospel beginning with the mirror of the Ten Commandments that exposes the sin nature of every person.
