Far-Reaching Bill Flops After Pelosi Defects

By AUTHOR, WND — (WASHINGTON) President Obama won the vote but may have lost the war. The House of Representatives voted Friday afternoon to approve fast-track authority for President Obama to negotiate far-reaching trade deals by the narrow margin of 219-to-211, but that proved to be just a symbolic vote. That’s because a key provision of the bill went down to a resounding defeat on a separate vote of of 302 to 126. And that provision was part of the Trade Promotion Authority, or TPA, bill already passed by the Senate.

The vote also means the Trans-Pacific Partnership, or TPP, a monumental but controversial trade deal between the U.S. and Pacific Rim nations, is likely dead, after Obama and business interests spent months lobbying for it. After Friday’s vote, it is back to the drawing board for the president and the bill’s supporters in Congress. They will either have to try again to drum up the needed votes, or the bill will die for good....

By Austin Ruse, Breitbart — One of the speakers slated for the Vatican rollout of the long-awaited Papal document on climate change once said the earth is overpopulated by at least 6 billion people. The teaching document, called an encyclical, is scheduled for release on June 18 at Vatican City. Perhaps with the exception of the 1968 encyclical on contraception, no Vatican document has been greeted with such anticipation.

The political left is hoping for a document that ties belief in global warming to a religious obligation. Climate skeptics have already started criticizing the document. The choice of Professor John Schnellnhuber, founding director of the Postdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, as one of three presenters may be giving the left added hope and giving giving skeptics severe heartburn. He has been described as one of the more aggressive scientists on the question of man-made global warming....

The Georgia Guidestones is a large granite monument in Elbert County, Georgia, USA. A message comprising ten guides is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages, and a shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient languages' scripts: Babylonian, Classical Greek, Sanskrit, and Egyptian hieroglyphs.

INSCRIPTIONS

A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.

3. Unite humanity with a living new language.

4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.

5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

This is a dangerous trend for all bank account holders as evidenced by the fact that Austria brazenly abolished all bank deposit guarantees in April. In our hemisphere, Canada passed bail-in laws last year. In fact, the UK, the U.S., Australia and New Zealand all have plans for bail-ins in the event of banks and other financial institutions begin to fail....

In doing a quick Google image search for United Nations helicopters, we weren't surpised to learn that UN choppers are also white as seen on this linked page and in the photographs below. The 2nd video also shows 7 choppers over Washington state from a different source and from the word we have gotten from a retired US Navy SEAL source, they ARE likely United Nations choppers. With both China and Russia high ranking UN Security Council members, we echo the words of Libertys Champion in the 2nd video: This "is not normal and seems very out of place to me."”

By Theodore Shoebat , Shoebat.com — ISIS just invaded one of the largest Christian churches in Iraq, in the city of Mosul. They sacked the church and are now making it into a mosque. According to the report:

One of Mosul’s largest Christian churches is being destroyed and turned into a mosque for Islamic State jihadists.

The Islamic State terror group posted flyers throughout Mosul announcing in a decree that the Syrian Orthodox Church of St. Ephraim is reopening as the “mosque of the mujahideen” or jihad fighters. Christian symbols and relics have already been scrubbed and demolished from the ancient church.

It’s believed that all Christians have either been executed or have evacuated the city since Islamic militants overran the area last year. Christians were told to flee or face execution.

“They (ISIS) take everything from us, but they cannot take the God from our hearts, they cannot,” said Nicodemus Sharaf, archbishop of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Mosul, who’s now a refugee.

The BBC reported Tuesday that homes belonging to Christians and other religious minorities have been confiscated or marked for demolition. A man calling himself Hisham said that many Muslims no longer go to the mosques because they have become so radicalized.

“The group has even replaced the imams in the mosques with pro-IS people,” said Hisham to the BBC. “Many of us have stopped going to the mosques because those attending are asked to give an oath of allegiance and we hate that.”...
