International Case Puts Bull’s-Eye On
Americans’ First Amendment Rights

By Bob Unruh, WND — Critics of President Obama long have accused him, not without considerable evidence, of wanting to make the United States and its Constitution subservient to international precedents and practices on issues like guns, marriage, gender orientation, the use of fossil fuels, “clean” energy and more.

Now a fight is developing that could determine whether international law can be used to torpedo the First Amendment of the United States’ founding document.

 For Americans.

 On American soil.

The case is Sexual Minorities of Uganda (SMUG) vs. American minister, speaker and advocate Scott Lively, of Abiding Truth Ministries, and specifically charges that Lively’s comments about homosexuality are “crimes against humanity” and are forbidden under international law.

The result could hit hard at the freedom Americans have under the First Amendment....

DUTCH PEDIATRICIANS WANT TO ALLOW DOCTORS TO EUTHANIZE CHILDREN UNDER 12

By Sarah Zagorski, Life News — In the Netherlands, doctors want to give terminally ill children, under the age of 12, the so-called right to die. Unbelievably, doctors from the Dutch Pediatric Association believe that the 2002 law allowing children over 12 to request to be euthanized does not go far enough. Eduard Verhagen, a professor of pediatrics at Groningen University explained, “We feel that an arbitrary age limit such as 12 should be changed. Each child’s ability to ask to die should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.”

Currently, child euthanasia is allowed in the Netherlands only if the patient meets the following requirements:
The patient must be over the age of 12.
Their suffering is considered unbearable and without hope for improvement.
The child’s parents approve.
The patient has asked to die multiple times over a period of time.
So far, five children have been killed in the Netherlands since euthanasia became legal. Professor Verhagen lamented, “If a child under 12 satisfies the same conditions, pediatricians are currently powerless. It’s time to address this problem.” The Telegraph reported that one child who died was 12-years-old and the others were 16 and 17-years-old....

WARNING: FEDERAL COURT RULES THAT
2ND AMENDMENT RIGHT IS NOW A REASON
FOR COPS TO DETAIN YOU

By Jay Syrmopoulos, The Free Thought Project — In a stunning violation of 2nd Amendment rights, the U.S. District Court of Western Michigan ruled police have the legal authority to detain individuals that choose to exercise their constitutional right to open carry a firearm. Open Carry is also specifically allowed under Michigan law.

The ruling means that people in Michigan who choose to exercise this constitutional right are now subject to being stopped by law enforcement for engaging in a completely lawful activity.

Officers detained Johann Deffert in early 2013. He was walking down the sidewalk with a holstered FNP-45 pistol, after receiving a 9-1-1 call from a woman who spotted Deffert with the open carried, but holstered, handgun on his person.

The dispatcher initially informed the caller that Michigan is an open carry state. However, the woman subsequently explained that she found Deffert’s presence alarming, due in part to his wearing of camouflage, although she admitted that he wasn’t threatening anyone. Somehow the dispatcher made the decision that someone engaging in a completely legal activity, as earlier in the call noted by the dispatcher, should now be inspected by police, due to caller saying they found wearing camo disturbing.

The absurdity in logic; that someone wearing camo takes the situation from being a completely legal situation not to be interfered with, and raises it to a level of needing police assistance, shows the extreme arbitrary nature of the entire situation.

The incident was captured on responding officer Moe Williams’ dash cam, and lasted 14 minutes. Williams had indicated he believed that perhaps Deffert was suffering from some type of mental illness, as he seemed to be “talking to nobody” when the officer arrived on scene. Upon further investigation, Deffert was revealed to have been happily singing the song “Hakuna Matata” from the Disney movie “The Lion King” while strolling down the sidewalk....

Does a massive rise in mockery aimed at our Creator and ancient scriptures seal God’s judgment on society? Author John McTernan thinks so. In support of that claim, he lists two major criteria, number one being the Ordinances of the Amorites (and Americans). In the Book of Genesis, Yahowah God tells Abraham to leave Canaan in the land of the Amorites and Canaanites until the iniquity of those living in the land was complete. Only after 400 years did God call His people out of Egypt and return them to the Promised Land, and only when the heathen who possessed the land had given themselves complete over to sin. They grew comfortable with it, and performed these sinful deeds in the light of day.

Can we draw any suitable comparisons to 21st Century America? And what could that mean for our society?

John McTernan urges us to remember this applicable prohibition from Leviticus Chapter 18 Verse 3...

The latest outrage: A young white man who allegedly possessed some racist animosity went into a predominantly black church in Charleston, S.C., and opened fire, telling one victim that blacks "rape our women," "are taking over our country" and "have to go."

Predictably, the mainstream and legacy media are using this tragedy as Exhibit A in their relentless push to paint the United States – whites, primarily – as racist, bigoted and intolerant. Unfortunately, and despite government statistics that actually show that whites are more commonly victims of so-called "hate" crimes – too many of our citizens will buy into the lie once more, making it ever more difficult for blacks and whites to reconcile.

But there is another predictable element to this mass shooting as well, and it is a connection getting far less attention in the press and in the political arena than it should: The alleged S.C. church shooter, Dylann Roof, was taking a dangerous mind-altering drug like virtually every other mass shooter ever since the late 1990s Columbine High School shooters, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris.

How the president is exploiting the suffering of nine innocent victims
of a racial assault to attack his country and launch a political campaign.

Why does the president of the United States think it’s proper to take a horrible racial tragedy in Charleston South Carolina as an excuse to bash America as the violence capital of the “advanced” world, and a prop for Democrats’ lust for gun control legislation in a state that already has it?

Last year 82 people were shot over the Fourth of July weekend in Chicago. 16 of them died. The victims and the shooters were black.

Now two 15-year-olds have already been shot in a single Chicago neighborhood in two days.

These are tragedies every bit as terrible as what took place in a church in Charleston, but the mass shootings of black people doesn’t attract much national attention when white people aren’t involved.

Chicago’s bloody weekends show us that the politicians and reporters haven’t turned their attention to Charleston because they care about dead black people.

They are there for the psychotic killer, Dylann Storm Roof, not for his victims. They are there for a Southern state with a Republican governor who can be safely blamed the way that their Mayor of Chicago can’t. They are there to use the voiceless dead as convenient props in their campaign for gun control – in a state that already has some of the toughest gun control laws in the South. They don’t care about black people. They care about their political agendas.

Obama made that clear when he blamed Republicans for the shootings in his statement. The formatting of the statement on the White House website with its paragraphs about healing and the church in small print and the call for gun control and accusations of racism set out in giant bold type show with stark clarity what the president’s priorities are....

Mitt Romney—the 2012 GOP presidential nominee who lost a winnable race against President Barack Obama—attacked the Confederate battle flag that hangs at a Civil War memorial at the South Carolina state capitol on Saturday, and is now refusing to answer any questions about the matter.

Take down the #ConfederateFlag at the SC Capitol. To many, it is a symbol of racial hatred. Remove it now to honor #Charleston victims.

Romney’s comment mimics several bastions of the Institutional Left in linking the flag to the nine murders at Charleston’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Dylann Roof has confessed to that attack, and says he spent months planning it.

Romney’s position differs from the position historically taken by conservatives and Republicans.

“Governor Bush, a few blocks from here on top of the state Capitol building, the Confederate Flag flies with the state flag and the U.S. Flag,” then-anchor Brian Williams of NBC News asked candidate George W. Bush during a Jan. 7, 2000, presidential debate. The crowd booed Williams as he continued: “It is as you can hear from the reaction of tonight’s crowd of 3,000 people in South Carolina a hot-button issue here. The question is: Does the flag offend you personally?”

Bush crushed Williams with his answer, making the case that he thought America should let the people of South Carolina should make this decision for themselves.

“The answer to your question—what you’re trying to get me to do is to express the will of the people of South Carolina, is what you’re trying to get me to do,” Bush said.

As Williams tried to cut him off by saying “no, I’m asking you about your personal opinion,” Bush kept talking over Williams—and the crowd cheered him on.

“The people of South Carolina,” Bush said before the audience roared in applause. When they quieted down again after nearly a full minute of applause, Bush completed his answer: “Brian, I believe the people of South Carolina can figure out what to do with this flag issue. It’s the people of South Carolina.”

“If I may—if I may,” Williams tried to interrupt. Bush wouldn’t allow it.

“I don’t believe it’s the role of someone from outside South Carolina, and someone running for president to come into this state and tell the people of South Carolina what to do with their business when it comes to the flag,” Bush continued, talking over Williams.

“As an American citizen—as an American citizen—do you have a visceral reaction to seeing the Confederate flag,” a determined Williams pressed Bush again.

“Ooh, Brian,” Bush began his reply as the crowd booed the liberal Williams, who a decade and a half later would see a massive fall from grace due to fabricating several stories over his career.

“As an American citizen, I trust the people of South Carolina to make the right decision for the people of South Carolina,” Bush replied....
