These sentimental words so touched Pope Francis that he named his encyclical after this canticle (repeated in paragraph 87 of the Holy Father’s letter).The Gaia Principle, first advanced by chemist James Lovelock (who has lately had second thoughts) and microbiologist Lynn Margulis in the 1970s, says that all life interacts with the Earth, and the Earth with all life, to form a giant self-regulating, living system. This goes far beyond the fact that the Earth’s climate system has feedbacks, which are at the very center of the debate over climate change. In the Gaia Principle, Mother Earth is alive, and even, some think, aware in some ill-defined, mystical way. The Earth knows man and his activities and, frankly, isn’t too happy with him. This is what we might call “scientific pantheism,” a kind that appeals to atheistic scientists. It is an updated version of the pagan belief that the universe itself is God, that the Earth is at least semi-divine — a real Brother Sun and Sister Water! Mother Earth is immanent in creation and not transcendent, like the Christian God. What’s this have to do with Schellnhuber?...

Geoffrey Grider, Editor-in-chief and founder of NTEB —As President Obama was speaking at a White House event honoring LGBT Pride Month on Wednesday, he was heckled by a member of the crowd.
“Shame on you”, he told his heckler, who was protesting deportations under the Obama administration. Obama responded, “Listen you’re in my house, it’s not respectful.”
The interruption persisted, however, and Obama asked for the heckler to be removed from the East Room. Shortly after the incident, an immigration group claimed the protestor was an undocumented immigrant named Jennicet Gutiérrez, who is transgender.
The only problem with all this is that the White House does not belong to any one person or group. The White House belongs to the American people, it is OUR house, and not the property of any one resident during their term of office. For the 4 or 8 years that a President and their family reside there, everything is provided for them by the ongoing financial support of the American taxpayer.
Obama’s self-centered, self-absorbed response is typical of this highly narcissistic president whose world view revolves around himself. When speaking to young people celebrating India’s Republic Day in New Delhi in 2012, Obama went on to refer to himself an astonishing 118 times in the short 33-minute speech, touching on injustices in the United States and in his own personal life. While giving a campaign speech to a crowd in Sandusky, Ohio on July 5, 2012, Obama said the word ‘I’ 98 times and ‘me’ 19 times during his short 25 minute talk. Last June, Obama gave a 40-minute speech wherein he packed in 199 uses of “I,” “me,” or “my”.
So, no, the White House is not “your house”, Mr. Obama. It is still belongs to the American people, and the American people think you should start packing, and get out of OUR house.

Kahn, Slate — The U.S. Department of Agriculture established an animal disease research center on Plum Island, New York, in 1954, for the express purpose of studying foot-and-mouth and other deadly animal diseases. Today, in addition to foot-and-mouth, the center studies viruses like African swine fever, which, if inadvertently released, could devastate the U.S. livestock industry. It also looks at other zoonotic pathogens—microbes that can jump from animals to people—that could potentially cause human outbreaks. The research has direct implications for U.S. defense against agro-terrorism, which is the malicious disruption of food supply systems or agriculture. It was with biological threats in mind that the Department of Homeland Security took over the lab in 2002.
There was a reason the federal government placed the 840-acre lab where it did: The isolated island sits off of the far eastern end of New York state’s Long Island, where the prevailing winds blow toward the ocean. If the foot-and-mouth virus—or any other airborne danger—escaped from the lab, the air currents would likely carry it beyond where it could cause harm. An out-of-the-way location makes sense because no lab is risk free. In 2007, for instance, the foot-and-mouth virus escaped from Great Britain’s Pirbright Institute, one of the world’s leading laboratories studying animal disease, and set off an outbreak at a nearby farm. So it is absolutely mind-boggling that Homeland Security has decided to move the lab, to be known as the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility, to the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, Kansas, smack in the middle of Tornado Alley...

Religious minorities have always been at the forefront of pushing religious freedom in American law. This year is no different, as Samantha Elauf, a young Muslim woman, won a critical case on behalf of all who seek workplace accommodations for their religious beliefs and practices. Ms. Elauf was denied a job at popular retailer Abercrombie & Fitch, not because she was unqualified, but because she wore a head scarf.
But the decision also implicates many other corporate policies, especially scheduling and discipline. Companies will have to become more flexible in scheduling those who need time to observe the Sabbath or attend church. They will also have to refrain from disciplining workers who would otherwise accumulate attendance points on account of religious observances.
Religious freedom has finally come of age in corporate America.

How The Obamacare Ruling Snubs ‘Rule Of Law’

Burwell Supreme Court decision upholding Obamacare, at least one attorney who has argued cases before the court is calling for the justices who filed the majority opinion to be impeached.All six of them need to go, says Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch.
All six are guilty of abandoning the rule of law, says the longtime government watchdog. In its place they have substituted the advancement of their own political agendas.
“These six justices have violated their own long-established rules of interpretation for applying statutes to instead advance their own political objectives or burnish their public persona,” Klayman said in reaction to the decision. “Such personal goals corrode the role of the court. The justices abandoned the rule of law and have become merely a political focus group.”
As Justice Antonin Scalia makes clear in his dissent, the six justices actually rewrote the Affordable Care Act instead of interpreting it. Scalia wrote that the legacy of the Roberts Court will be “forever the discouraging truth that the Supreme Court of the United States favors some laws over others, and is prepared to do whatever it takes to uphold and assist its favorites.”
Scalia wrote that the court engaged in “somersaults of statutory interpretation” to save Obamacare, rather than applying neutral and consistent rules to all laws equally....

“With a 60-38 vote, the Senate adopted the law giving President Obama the power to “fast-track” talks on free-trade pacts such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) after months of fierce debate in both houses of the Congress.Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), as the measure is called, means that Congress will only get to vote up or down on the treaties in question once they are finalized by the White House, without the ability to offer amendments.
Labor unions and liberal Democrats had fought hard against the authority and are likely to now turn their attention toward stopping the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a trade deal Obama is negotiating with 12 other Pacific Rim nations.
After the measure barely squeaked by with 60 votes in favor, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama) accused the US government of not serving the needs of its citizens, saying the White House “broke arms and heads” to scrape up the required majority.
Anti-trade Democrats say the battle now shifts to approval of the TPP, which will need only 50 votes to pass the Senate under the protections of fast-track.
“When the inexcusable and anti-democratic veil of secrecy surrounding the TPP is finally lifted and the American people see what is actually in the agreement, they are going to force their representatives in Washington to vote that deal down,” said Robert Weissman, the president of Public Citizen, an outspoken opponent of Obama’s trade agenda.”

Could genocide ever be carried out against segments of the American people in the modern age? Just asking this question would get some to label the inquiry as “fear mongering” or a “conspiracy theory”. However, with the massive military and equipment movements taking place in our country in recent weeks, in conjunction with Jade Helm, some have come to believe that we need to be asking questions, very serious questions like “Are we going to witness a genocide on American soil”?
In 1963, Stanley Milgram, a professor at Yale University, investigated the prevailing American belief that a Nazi style genocide could never happen in America. What Milgram found was the two out of three people would unhesitatingly murder an innocent person simply based upon the orders of an authority figure who did not have the ability to threaten the well-being of the subject of the experiment.
Is America following down a path which could culminate in our banker-hijacked government carrying out acts of genocide against select members of its population? There is increasing Internet “chatter” which addresses this topic and many are beginning to discuss the possibility for the first time. Obama Authorizes Slave Labor On American Soil

With retail malls across America going out of business while chain stores with a mall presence are closing stores by the thousands due in large part to the wretched economy, one mall developer, Kimco Realty, announced a plan back in 2010 that would provide a long-term fix for their woes - a long-term partnership with the Department of Homeland Security to lease AT LEAST one of their properties to provide office space for US Customs and Border agents. Kimco's partner in that deal with the DHS just happens to be The Rockefeller Group Development Company.
Kimco Realty is now in the process of developing a 'retail outlet' in Marana, Arizona (as seen in pictures above and below) that one of our readers, a United States Veteran, feels very strangely about and perhaps for good reason. Telling us that the Marana Spectrum is supposed to be opening in October of 2015, as of yet they have no anchor stores signed to move in but what concerned him most, as a US Vet, were the tall towers being built at each corner of this project. As you can see in the pictures, this new 'mall' is also located directly next to train tracks and as our reader got these pictures, a fully loaded down military train just happened to be passing by. He says he expects they might soon build a spur into this 'center'.
We have attempted to contact the individual in charge of leasing and development of this project but as of yet, have not had our phone calls returned. Of course, there is no way for us to know at the immediate time whether or not this mall being built is actually some sort of prison or FEMA camp but as our reader mentions, there is something very strange about this project that just doesn't sit right with him; we agree with him, especially considering all of the other information that ANP has uncovered about all of this as outlined in much more detail below....
