GOP TO GIVE OBAMA MORE POWER

By Greg Corombos, WND — A freshman congressman is staunchly opposing legislation to grant President Obama Trade Promotion Authority because he fears Obama will end up weakening national security through a bad deal.

Rep. Steve Russell, R-Okla., says the last thing the Republican Congress should do is give Obama more power during his final 19 months in office.

“Do we really want, with the last months of this president, and him wanting to establish a legacy, to run in haste into some Asian construct that could put us in a very dangerous future situation?” asked Russell. “I’m just not willing to grant him that authority.

Russell gained notoriety for leading the U.S. Army unit that captured Saddam Hussein near Tikrit in 2003. He said Obama’s performance in Iraq and many other places over the past six-and-a-half years convinces him that the last thing Obama needs is more power.

“For example: Syria, the red line, picking the wrong side to arm that turns into ISIS and then calling ISIS a jayvee team only to realize it’s a serious situation we still don’t have a strategy for,” Russell said. “Iraq, that would work on its own if we pulled out. Then we also see the problems of the Arab Spring that’s turned into nuclear winter, the issues with Crimea and Ukraine. I can go on and on.”...

OBAMA ON SECRETIVE TPP AGREEMENT: ‘THERE WILL BE LOSERS’

By Star Fox, Eyes Open Report — Weighing in on the highly secretive Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), President Obama admitted that as a result of ratifying the agreement there will be losers and certain sections of the economy will need “help” to “transition”.

“The question is, are there a lot more winners then losers and the answer in this case is yes,” Obama explained in a interview with Marketplace host Kai Ryssda.

“But that doesn’t mean that there is not going to be some impact on some sectors of the economy, by definition,” the President continued. “Thats going to be true anyway by the way, but it may be that as a consequence of this trade deal there are particular markets, particular niche parts of the economy, where we got to provide help to transition and to re-tool and adapt.”

The TPP currently remains almost entirely secret as “fast-track” legislation to approve of the agreement has entered the U.S. House of Representatives....

“Could real estate on American soil owned by China be set up as “development zones” in which the communist nation could establish Chinese-owned businesses and bring in its citizens to the U.S. to work?

That’s part of an evolving proposal Beijing has been developing quietly since 2009 to convert more than $1 trillion of U.S debt it owns into equity.

Under the plan, China would own U.S. businesses, U.S. infrastructure and U.S. high-value land, all with a U.S. government guarantee against loss.

Yu Qiao, a professor of economics in the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsighua University in Beijing, proposed in 2009 a plan for the U.S. government to guarantee foreign investments in the United States.

WND has reliable information that the Bank of China, China’s central bank, has continued to advance the plan to convert China’s holdings of U.S. debt into equity owned by China in the U.S.

The Obama administration, under the plan, would grant a financial guarantee as an inducement for China to convert U.S. debt into Chinese direct equity investment. China would take ownership of successful U.S. corporations, potentially profitable infrastructure projects and high-value U.S. real estate.

The plan would be designed to induce China to resume lending to the U.S. on a nearly zero-interest basis.”

In my opinion we've had four major crisis periods in American history. The first was the Revolutionary War. We did not even know whether we could be born as a nation or not. It was my privilege to be at Valley Forge when President Eisenhower made this statement there: "This is where they got [our independence] for us.

In the midst of that winter, General Washington was seen time and again on his knees out in the snow calling upon God for victory. Out of that winter of prayer, George Washington led that little, beaten, discouraged, tattered army to a great victory that brought about the independence of the United States from Great Britain. I believe God helped that little army as it marched all the way to Yorktown.

The next great crisis in American history came when a Constitutional Convention was called in Philadelphia to ratify a Constitution for the new country that was being born. The delegates got angry with each other; they couldn't agree on a thing. Benjamin Franklin eloquently called on the Convention to pray for God's assistance: ["We have been assured, Sir, in the sacred writings, that 'except the Lord build the House they labour in vain that build it.' I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the Builders of Babel."]

Out of that Convention came the Constitution of the United States.

The next great crisis came during the Civil War....

The below historical descriptions of the pillaging and destruction by the Muslim invaders is remarkable for its similarity to the actions of the Islamic State and other jihadi groups today, and vividly illustrates the historical continuity of Islam’s treatment of Christians and other non-Muslims.

This continuity is the result of specific commands in the Quran, melded with the example of Muhammad, which gives Islam its inherently supremacist and warlike nature and mandate, to make the whole world submit to the rule of Allah.

The early twentieth century saw 4 million or more Orthodox and Eastern Christians martyred for their faith in Jesus Christ during the Armenian Genocide, which actually was part of a larger holocaust committed by the Turkish Muslims during the period from 1894-1922.

Now we see a new wave of genocide committed by Muslims against Christians at the start of the twenty-first. Historical continuity reveals much about Islam, its purpose, and its adherents…
