On June 29, 2015 Broadcast: Last Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court issued their 5-4 opinion stating that the 14th Amendment requires states to license same-sex marriages. In response, the White House was lit up that evening as it displayed the colors of the gay pride movement.Mat Staver joined Jim to discuss this decision and its implications. Mat is the founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, an international, non-profit litigation, education and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life and the family.
Mat commented on the following aspects of the Supreme Court's decision:
• What is the 14th Amendment and what part of it has anything to do with so-called same-sex marriage?
