‘Shall Not Be Allowed Use For The Sake Of Proselytizing’
By Bob Unruh, WND — Christians have been charged with discrimination for exercising their religion in the running of flower shops, photography studios and bakeries, and now they’re allegedly the victims of discrimination themselves through the policy of a Massachusetts library.A non-profit evangelical legal group has sued Lawrence, Massachusetts, over the public library’s refusal to allow Christian groups to use its meeting rooms to discuss their faith.
The facility allows a wide range of interest groups to use the rooms but refused an application from Liberty Counsel for a civil and educational program that included “religious content.”
The library’s policy states: “Religious groups may use the library’s meeting rooms for administrative purposes but shall not be allowed use for the sake of proselytizing … or otherwise influencing people to a particular belief or point of view.”
That’s even though the mission statement for the library is: “The freedom to pursue knowledge is a foundation of our democracy. … [T]he Library exists to preserve the free development and expression of ideas essential for an informed citizenry.”
Mat Staver, chairman of Liberty Counsel, said the “religious viewpoint discrimination not only violates the library’s own mission statement, but it is simply unconstitutional.”...

World wars, monetary hyperinflations, depressions, tyrannical governments, pandemics, Tsunamis, you name it; according to the experts, these things can never happen, especially not here in America. Plus, in the off chance that something does go wrong, we can always depend on our government to bail us out.
But what if, for the sake of argument, something does go wrong? And what if – just humor us here – the government doesn’t have the ability to help? What happens then?
The answer is simple and can be summed up in the following picture and video taken within the last 24 hours in Greece, where their financial and economic systems have collapsed to such an extent that people are now hoarding food, gas and even money (if they can get their hands on it)....

“Today, many Christians are lamenting the “supreme” act of defiance against almighty God, as the U.S. Supreme Court brazenly redefined a holy covenant clearly and explicitly defined by God Himself, the blessed union between a man and a woman. This follows the same spirit of depravity and carnal hubris of the same judicial body that declared that the wholesale slaughter of millions of unborn children is a right of all Americans in Roe v. Wade a generation ago.
Many Christians are now asking how we got here, to this point in our history, where persecution for our beliefs are rapidly becoming reality in a nation that once enjoyed God’s blessings and favor. How is it possible that the very foundations upon which our nation was built have been shaken and torn asunder? Why do we find ourselves preparing for persecution instead of being embraced by God’s blessings and favor which He once bestowed upon His people?
For many Christians, the answer is as unpleasant and distressing as the question. This ground of depraved indifference and carnal hubris that has enveloped the leadership of our nation was first made fertile within the walls of the modern church. The soil in which the growing vines of compromised teachings has been moistened not by the undiluted living water offered within the Words of Jesus Christ, but by a corrupted form deficient of the necessary nutrients that only God can provide. This is obvious by the fruit rotting and falling from the vine, rather than producing the robust harvest God intended and so desired.

“WikiLeaks releases today the “Investment Chapter” from the secret negotiations of the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) agreement. The document adds to the previous WikiLeaks publications of the chapters for Intellectual Property Rights (November 2013) and the Environment (January 2014).
The TPP Investment Chapter, published today, is dated 20 January 2015. The document is classified and supposed to be kept secret for four years after the entry into force of the TPP agreement or, if no agreement is reached, for four years from the close of the negotiations.
Julian Assange, WikiLeaks editor said: “The TPP has developed in secret an unaccountable supranational court for multinationals to sue states. This system is a challenge to parliamentary and judicial sovereignty. Similar tribunals have already been shown to chill the adoption of sane environmental protection, public health and public transport policies.”
Current TPP negotiation member states are the United States, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Chile, Singapore, Peru, Vietnam, New Zealand and Brunei. The TPP is the largest economic treaty in history, including countries that represent more than 40 per cent of the world´s GDP.

These investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) tribunals are designed to overrule the national court systems. ISDS tribunals introduce a mechanism by which multinational corporations can force governments to pay compensation if the tribunal states that a country’s laws or policies affect the company’s claimed future profits. In return, states hope that multinationals will invest more. Similar mechanisms have already been used. For example, US tobacco company Phillip Morris used one such tribunal to sue Australia (June 2011 – ongoing) for mandating plain packaging of tobacco products on public health grounds; and by the oil giant Chevron against Ecuador in an attempt to evade a multi-billion-dollar compensation ruling for polluting the environment. The threat of future lawsuits chilled environmental and other legislation in Canada after it was sued by pesticide companies in 2008/9. By Jake Burman, Express — The United States rejected attempts made by its Middle East allies to fly heavy weapons directly to Kurds fighting ISIS in Iraq. Some of America's closest associates have slammed Barack Obama and other western leaders, including David Cameron, suggesting they are not showing leadership over the ISIS threat.
They have claimed that they have no other choice other than to "go it alone" and supply weapons to the Kurds - with officials seeking new ways to battle ISIS without America's approval.
A senior Arab official said that they will "have to find new ways of dealing with the threat" if western leaders are not prepared to do anything serious to defeat ISIS.
He said: “With [ISIS] making ground all the time we simply cannot afford to wait for Washington to wake up to the enormity of the threat we face.”...
