TEICHRIB: TRANSHUMANIST RELIGION


TALKING THE WALK

IT SEEMS fitting that a Transhumanist religion, based on science and promising immortality by uploading consciousness into an avatar, would hold a workshop in virtual reality.

Carl Teichrib, founder and editor of Forcing Change, was there in the virtual crowd (see image at right) for the Terasem Movement’s annual workshop on Geoethical Nanotechnology. He discusses the principles of Terasem and transhumanist religion in general. How does a fundamentally humanist religion develop a cohesive moral code?
