The world seemingly falling apart all around us and no one at the helm leading our way out. Most Americans are like the completely oblivious Los Angelens in last night's premier of "Fear the Walking Dead", completely unaware of what's unfolding around them. However, millions of Americans are rapidly awakening and know that soon, whether war or collapse or zombie infestation, survival will be the only thing that matters.
With more than 50 North Korean submarines, many of them possibly carrying nuclear weapons, nowhere to be found, we found this story from ABC in North Carolina to be quite interesting and a heads up to all as we learn that US troops from Ft. Bragg, North Carolina are getting ready to respond to a nuclear disaster with a drill in Florida. "The notice came overnight" we are told, "get ready to respond to a nuclear disaster situation in Florida" and "be ready to deploy for a week."...

title="Photo via Christian News Network" By Heather Clark, Christian News Network — (WASHINGTON) The Smithsonian is refusing to remove a bust of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger from its “Struggle for Justice” exhibit despite opposition from a group of African American pastors who pointed out Sanger’s advocacy for eugenics.
Earlier this month, a coalition called “Ministers Taking a Stand” wrote to officials with the National Portrait Galley at the Smithsonian Institute to request that Sanger’s image be removed from the exhibit—and any other displays at the museum. The “Struggle for Justice” display was to honor those figures who fought “long standing segregationist practices and discrimination in American society,” and features images of leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks.
“Ms. Sanger may have been a lot of things, but a ‘champion of justice’ she definitely was not,” the letter read. “Perhaps the gallery is unaware that Ms. Sanger supported black eugenics, a racist attitude toward black and other minority babies; an elitist attitude toward those she regarded as ‘the feeble minded;’ speaking at rallies of Klu Klux Klan women; and communications with Hitler sympathizers.”...

Damian McBride appeared to suggest that the stock market dip could lead to civil disorder or other situations where it would be unreasonable for someone to leave the house.
“Advice on the looming crash, No.1: get hard cash in a safe place now; don't assume banks & cashpoints will be open, or bank cards will work,” he tweeted.
“Crash advice No.2: do you have enough bottled water, tinned goods & other essentials at home to live a month indoors? If not, get shopping.
“Crash advice No.3: agree a rally point with your loved ones in case transport and communication gets cut off; somewhere you can all head to.”...

Inquisitr — A Veterans Affairs investigation into the death of Marine Jason Simcakoski ruled that Veterans Affairs is responsible for the death of the Marine while the VA is embroiled in yet another scandal. With the revelation that Veterans Affairs is the largest non-military federal user of the cheating dating site Ashley Madison, employees who used the site may have had their records compromised in this sensitive breach of information.
Investigators ruled that the Tomah, Wisconsin VA Medical Center was responsible for the death of Simcakoski because they failed to properly prescribe his medications. When Simcakoski was found unresponsive, staff failed to respond properly in treating him.
Jason Simcakoski died on August 30, 2014 during a stay at the VA Medical Center’s short stay mental health unit. As reported in Stars and Stripes, Simcakoski was given 13 different medications by the staff at the Veterans Affairs facility. It lead to mixed drug toxicity. Simcakoski was given several drugs that are prescribed for sedation, and staff psychiatrists prescribed additional drugs that increased the effects of his previously prescribed medications....
