• State Department spokesperson Mark Toner said that the administration would welcome Saudi Arabia's appointment to a leadership position at the U.N. Human Rights Council saying that the U.S. and the kingdom were close allies.
• The Alabama Supreme Court has refused to recognize an adoption granted to a lesbian woman in 2007 by a Georgia court.
• An Oregon judge who will not officiate at homosexual weddings is fighting to keep his job.
• The ACLU is bringing a lawsuit against Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis because they claim she has altered the marriage certificates.
• Muslims said to be the fastest growing group of immigrants according to new census data published by the Center for Immigration Studies.
• The U.S. voluntarily imports more than a quarter of a million Muslim immigrants each year.
• Only 11% of Muslim Americans identify as Republican or leaning Republican making them one of the most reliable Democratic voting blocs in the nation.
