LAURA: (MUFFLED) YOU’RE MY SWEETHEART

Sarah Zagorski, Life News — In a YouTube video that was published on September 20, an elderly man is seen singing to his dying wife. The granddaughter of Howard and Laura, Erin Solari, captured the footage of the couple.

Howard is a 92-year-old World War II veteran and has been married to Laura, 93, for 73-years. Erin said the following about her grandparents, “At family gatherings, it was not uncommon for the two of them to sing this song together, each taking a verse and serenading the other. Sadly, Grandma is now too weak to sing, but that doesn’t stop her from saying the words to him. Howard then takes over for her and sings the rest of the song to her while stroking her face.”

In just two days, the footage has garnered nearly two million views on YouTube. Watch the beautiful video below— but be sure to have a box of Kleenex nearby!
