The Bible is a chronicle of a long-running battle for God's "cosmic mountain". But if that's true, why are we taught that the final battle, Armageddon, will be fought at the Valley of Megiddo?
Dr. Michael Heiser, author of 'The Unseen Realm: Recapturing the Supernatural Worldview of the Bible', explains that the words transliterated as "har megiddo", or Mount Megiddo (which makes no sense--it's a valley, remember?), should actually be "mount of assembly", which we know as Mount Zion -- Jerusalem.
