BY SIMON KENT — British Muslims have been urged to “stop pretending” violence and terrorism are completely alien to Islam. The call was made by Maajid Nawaz, a former leader of the UK branch of the hardline Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir (HuT).
Mr. Nawaz, a broadcaster and author, was speaking on London’s LBC radio in the wake of Saturday night’s terrorist atrocity in the British capital, in which seven people were killed and more than 50 injured. In response to a caller questioning whether Islam had anything to do with acts of terrorist violence, he had this to say:
“When the prophet Mohammed said: ‘I have been ordered to fight the people until they declare there is no god but [Allah] and Muhammad is his messenger’, That’s clearly got something to do with violence doesn’t it?” Maajid suggested.
The caller Muhammad said he would need to know the context of the sentence before he could fully agree. » Read more

BY ISRAEL TODAY STAFF — The U.S. Senate on Monday voted 90-0 in favor of a resolution reaffirming that a united Jerusalem is and will forever remain Israel’s capital city. The vote was held to mark the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem’s reunification under Israeli rule during the Six Day War in 1967. The resolution called upon President Donald Trump to abide by a 1995 law stipulating that the U.S. Embassy be relocated from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Over 100 Muslims commandeered the sidewalks in front of Trump Tower yesterday, led by Linda Sarsour, a women who has openly called for Sharia Law to be instituted in the United States. The real kicker is that they were aided and abetted by self-loathing New York liberal Jews who “formed a ring around them in solidarity”. That’s kinda like the mouse “standing in solidarity” for better treatment of the cat. In other news, on Day 10 of Ramadan, Muslims globally so far have committed 55 acts acts of jihadi violence, resulting in the death of 592 people.

VIA SKYWATCH EDITOR — While whatever it is that’s going on between Washington and Moscow is shrouded in secrecy and intrigue, one man is openly proclaiming to the world that he is in talks with Russian officials that may eventually lead to Russian President Vladimir Putin becoming the first head of state to publicly acknowledge the existence of UFOs and extraterrestrials. Wait, what? The man is Stephen Bassett, the executive director of the Paradigm Research Group International (PRG) and the first ET and UFO disclosure lobbyist in the U.S. In his mission to end alleged governmental suppression of the truth about alien contact, Bassett revealed this week that he spent the week of May 3 to May 10 in Moscow meeting with former Soviet and Russian military and agency officials who are now involved in that country’s own disclosure movement. Part of the meeting was an interview of Bassett for a documentary. The PRG website details what was discussed: “During the interview, which will be broadcast in Russian in August, Bassett discussed various considerations that might prompt Russian President Vladimir Putin to make the first formal acknowledgment by a head of state regarding an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race. PRG believes this may be the first time anyone has made this argument on Russian media inside or outside Russia.”
