BY JOHN NOLTE — Even before Hurricane Harvey waylaid southeast Texas, the idea was to write this piece, to offer some perspective on the difference between our corrupt media’s relentless portrayal of a hopelessly divided America, and a little something known as Reality.
Having spent 6 weeks (during 3 separate trips) on the road this summer, having spent time in about 10 different states, my own experience outside the media-fabricated bubble was an eye opener. Then the terrible devastation of Harvey came along and, I hope, broke the media’s wicked spell across the fruited plain.
You need not live in Manhattan or DC to bubble yourself, and by extension, be hoodwinked by a media and Left desperate to crack our union in two. The only requirement is a news addiction fed by the establishment media. If that toxin is your primary portal to the outside world, you are being misled. And I say this not from On High, but from experience.

BY ISRAEL TODAY STAFF — Popular late night television host Conen O’Brien has been in Israel for the past week filming a segment of his documentary series “Conan Without Borders.” While there have been a lot of laughs, Conan’s also made some very serious stops as he makes his way through the Holy Land.
One was to Ziv Medical Center in the Galilee city of Safed, where thousands of Syrians wounded in their nation’s bloody civil war have been treated. The fact that Israel and Syria remain officially at war was not lost on Conan. “I am amazed and excited by what is being done here at Ziv for the sake of people from a neighboring country and an enemy,” he told the Ziv medical personnel, as reported by The Jerusalem Post. Conan went on to state that if it were up to him, the Israeli doctors involved in this selfless, life-saving work “need to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.”

His actions were so momentous that in the book of Isaiah (45:1), God refers to Cyrus as “His anointed one,” and the entire first chapter of the biblical book of Ezra is dedicated to highlighting Cyrus’s decree. Indeed, twice in the opening verses, Cyrus is quoted as referring to “Jerusalem, which is in Judah,” as if to stress that the most powerful man in the world at the time was recognizing to whom the city truly belonged. Even now, thousands of years later, the Persian king is still held in high regard in the annals of the Jewish people. With a stroke of his pen, Trump can add his name to the pantheon of Jewish heroes by conferring US recognition upon Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state and moving its embassy accordingly.
