BY AWR HAWKINS — Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg says he will not return to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School until more gun control is passed.
Hogg made the comments Sunday during a gun control rally held at Temple B’nai Abraham in Livingston, New Jersey.
The New York Daily News reports that Hogg said, “I’m not going back to school on Wednesday until one bill is passed.” He did not specify which law he wants most, only that he is not going back until at least one law garners the support of lawmakers.

VIA SKYWATCH EDITOR — A 2,700-year-old papyrus that is the oldest known non-Biblical Hebrew reference to Jerusalem has been found, announced the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) on Wednesday. The papyrus, originally stolen by antiquities thieves, was put on display in Jerusalem on Wednesday, coinciding with the second UNESCO resolution attempting to deny Judaism’s connection to its most holy city – a connection this ancient artifact so graphically proves. The two lines of writing on the tiny scrap of papyrus (4.3 inches by 1 inch) are surprisingly clear: “From the king’s maidservant, from Naharta, jars of wine, to Jerusalem.”

Turn on CNN and you get the impression that mass shootings are mainly carried out by mentally unstable teenagers with assault rifles in high schools. But the data points to a very different picture.
In the last 5 years, five major mass shootings were carried out using AR-15 or similar rifles.
The perpetrators of the Parkland school massacre, the Las Vegas massacre and the Texas First Baptist Church massacre were Americans. Muslim terrorists however were responsible for the mass shootings at the Pulse nightclub and in San Bernardino. While the Vegas shooter was responsible for the deadliest attack last year, the deadliest attacks of 2015 and 2016 were both carried out by Muslim terrorists.
Two of the last three years were dominated by mass shootings carried out by Muslim terrorists.
In the last decade, there were only 10 major mass shootings where the death toll went into the double digits. Three of those were carried out by Muslim terrorists. Both are the result of the mainstream media’s fear-mongering, and this is evident in the aftermath of the Parkland, Florida school shooting. While we constantly see the media glorify those demanding the rights of the innocent be erased, we rarely see the other side. People who understand evil exists and want to be prepared should it happen to them.
According to the New York Times, the lines stretched out the door this weekend at a gun show in Tampa, Florida, as thousands of potential buyers and the merely curious waited for their turn to browse booths stocked with the latest firearms, ammunition, customizable holsters, and patriotic paraphernalia.
Several sellers said they were on track to double their normal sales for a weekend. “It’s sad to say, but whenever there’s a shooting, business only goes up because people are afraid of losing their right to own a certain weapon,” said Quaidman Woody, who was running a booth with his father, a sales representative for CrossHeirs. “So even if they don’t need another AR, they’ll buy another AR or pieces of it.” This has been shown time and time again, yet for some reason, those who want the destruction of fundamental rights continue their charade. Those demanding a law to protect them always forget one simple thing
