BY AWR HAWKINS — National Rifle Association memberships surged in the wake of the anti-NRA protests and “media bias” that followed the February 14 Florida school shooting.
The Daily Mail reports that Google searches for “NRA membership” rose “4,900 percent” since the Florida attack. That rise occurred at a time when many Democrats, media personalities, and Hollywood celebrities were denouncing the NRA as causal in the shooting that took 17 lives in a gun-free zone.

One of these companies was the Georgia-based airline giant, Delta Airlines, who cancelled a discount program for the organization, as well as stating that they “will be requesting that the NRA remove our information from their website.” The move drew immediate response and criticism from conservatives, including Georgia’s Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle, who pushed to cancel a massive tax break that would have benefitted Delta, which Georgia Governor Nathan Deal signed on Friday. A massive new mosque being constructed in Tehran sports a sleek, minimalist design that architects say evokes the “austerity of early Islam.”
But more conservative Muslim voices have slammed the departure from the more traditional domes and minarets characteristic of mosques across the Middle East.
Some called it the result of “secular and Jewish influence.”
The New Arab reported that one local news website, Mashregh, went so far as to state that the new mosque looks like a Jewish kippa (yarmulke), and that the architects should be tried for “treason" for aiding a Zionist conspiracy.

EDITOR’S NOTE: n any country where Islam is in power, Sharia Law is enacted on not only Muslims but on non-Muslims as well. The Qu’ran commands Muslims to make non-Muslims submit to its laws. Isn’t it interesting when Sharia punishment is dished out, the people doing the whipping are dressed all in black with a hood over their heads? VIA SKYWATCH EDITOR — In a recent study, scientists took a step toward using what’s often referred to as the most revolutionary genetic technology in existence, CRISPR, to tweak the genes that cause Huntington’s. In people with the disease, due to a certain repeated section of genetic code, a toxic protein gets produced that accumulates and causes neurodegeneration. Usually symptoms begin to appear when patients are in their 30s or 40s. People start having trouble controlling movements and balancing, which is followed by difficulties with speech and swallowing as well as cognitive problems. But a group of researchers from Poland were successfully able to edit cells from Huntington’s patients. The team took cells from those patients, and used CRISPR to slice and inactivate disease-causing sections of DNA. That drastically reduced the amount of neurodegenerative proteins produced — by approximately 70%.
