 BY TODD STARNES — The leftist mayor of Minneapolis is trying to extort the Trump campaign by demanding the Target Center pay more than $500,000 in bogus security charges. It’s a tactic used by radicals to shut down conservative speakers on many university campuses.

Mayor Jacob Frey told the Target Center that it would be responsible for $530,000 in security and other costs related to the October 10th “Keep America Great” rally.

By comparison, President Obama held an event in the same venue in 2009 and security only cost approximately $20,000.

To be honest, I don’t like this one bit. Turkey under the regime of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a full-on Sharia state who I wouldn’t trust as far as I could throw him. Not only that, the Trump administration is going to allow Turkey to not only invade Syria but to then attack the Kurdish rebels who are our allies in the fight against ISIS. This is a very, very bad move, and I hope and pray that President Trump changes his mind before Turkey begins war in Syria.

But as long as we are discussing Syria, it’s a good time to remind ourselves just how much Syria, Damascus and the the former and soon to be region of Assyria figure into end times Bible prophecy. The Bible says in Isaiah 10:5 that the Antichrist is called ‘the Assyrian’, Isaiah 17:1 says that Damascus will be destroyed, and Amos shows us that the entire land of Syria and the surrounding region will be one of the main battlegrounds in the time of Jacob’s trouble leading up the Battle of Armageddon.

Protections for born-alive abortion survivors became a national conversation when New York and Illinois walked back their protections earlier this year, removing existing protections for infants born alive during failed abortion attempts.

According to research conducted by Family Research Council, only fifteen states provide strong protections for born-alive abortion survivors, and only eight require reporting on infants who survive abortion. The maps also show which states have no laws protecting born-alive abortion survivors, which states allow abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, and some surprising differences between those lists.
