 LINKSTER’S MEMORIAL TRIBUTE TO JFK
I wasn’t quite this old yet as I am in the above photoshopped picture but I know exactly where I was and what I was doing when we learned JFK had been assassinated, as most all Americans can tell also of their whereabouts when his death occurred. Decades later I would be working in the very hospital where JFK’s autopsy was performed, in fact, I have made many admissions to that same morgue when I was stationed there during President Reagan’s first term. Incidentally, the photo of myself in the above picture was made in the Commanding Officer’s office at that same hospital known today as Walter Reed National Miltary Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. You can see it in the right-hand sidebar very near the top. I was re-enlisting in the U.S. Navy (again) when the photo was made of me shaking hands with the CO.
