Synopsis: While the media spends much time on talking about “weapons of mass destruction,” less time is dedicated to frank discussions of weapons of mass migration. We explore the way in which mass immigration caused a political destabilization of the republic in the lead-up to the Civil War and how those patterns are still in play today.
